Does anybody know if Soul Train's been cancelled?� I thought the show would have started a new season by now, but it doesn't look like any more new episodes are available.

Soul Train will begin taping new episodes in December, to be shown on TV in January 2007, according to Don Cornelius Productions.

Yeah, they should air both the new and old episodes. I'm surprised they haven't been showing the old episodes on BET or some black/music-oriented cable channel.

Sir, or, Ma'am, you will NOT believe what I've read at SoulTrain.com. I've read that there are people bootlegging DVDs of the show and they seem to be getting away with it. No wonder there are no new episodes for this year! Well, I hope those people get caught and get sent to jail right away. I hope Dorian Gregory puts an end to that nonsense.

Hey, guys, guess what? The 21st Annual Soul Train Music Awards will be coming on this Saturday night at 10:30 on CW. Maybe hosts LeToya or Omarion may announce when there will be new episodes of the show?

Hi Cassie;

According to the other TV listings, in Philly, Soul Train moves to Sunday at 3AM starting 3-25-07 and still lists "Best of...", but the following week (April Fools) Soul Train does not state Best of but it seems it's regular time will be 3AM Sunday morning. Great...another time/date change and April Fools at that.� Is it to be believed???� BTW in Philly it is on MYPHL17.

It is very likely they have not decided what episode to air in the 3/31 - 4/1 weekend, so it just states Soul Train for now.
If they have to air those new episodes, than air those 6 or so episodes, as soon as they air, go right back to Best Of Soul Train, and air the old episodes for ever, or at least until they retire the Soul Train franchise. They air new episodes, the ratings will do down by a lot.

Soul Train reruns are the response to the billions of requests, the clutter that was present on Soul Train before they put a freeze on first run episodes, and most importantly, to stop users that have accounts on myspace, immem, and youtube from posting up videos that they share. It will not help prevent the later because there are thousands of episodes and the only show them weekly (thats not enough). I love the Best Of Soul Train because it gives me a chance to grasp at the episodes from the first 16 years (My first memory of Soul Train would be around 1987 when I was 4 years old)! Lately, they been rerunning episodes from the 1980s (my favorite era of black music) with artists from Teena Marie to Vanity 6! Very rare indeed. I hope they reair episodes with O'Bryan, Cherrelle,and New Edition very soon!

Well it is almost Jan 08 and no new ep. What happened to the ep you all (cassie ) said would be on in Jan 07?
