  • When Cartman enters Casa Bonita, he mysteriously misses the mile-long lines at the beginning of the restaurant. edit »
  • When Cartman is fake saying to Kyle that he's sorry, and hopes that they can still hang out, he starts sounding like Craig (or maybe Clyde) edit »
  • When Stan, Kyle, and Kenny leave to search for Butters, Cartman yells pretty loud about having to keep Butters hidden for a week. The boys had just left and would've been able to hear Cartman. edit »
  • When Butters takes off the box from his head, he can see clearly that Cartman's arm is not bitten off, despite the fact that Cartman just told Butters that cannibals had eaten it. edit »
  • The ending of this episode was different than planned in the storyboard. Originally, Cartman got arrested right away before he gets the chance to go and have fun. I guess they decided to change the ending and let him have his fun before getting arrested to make it funnier, which it was. edit »
  • These are the following episodes in the montage where Cartman ripped on Kyle for being Jewish (In order)

"Oh yeah! well you're a stupid Jew!" - Proffesor Chaos
"You're a Jew" - Mr. Hankey, the Christmas poo
"Shut your god-damned Jew mouth!" - The Simpsons already did it
"Good Job, Jew!" - The entity
"Jew.." - Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics
"Shut up Jew!" - Here Comes the neighborhood
"You're Jewish!" - Something you can do with your finger
"Dude he's Jewish!"- Do the handicapped got to hell?
    "Jew!" - Lil' Crime stoppers!
    "Jew!" - Free Hat
    "Jew!" - Kenny Dies
"Jew!" - Child abduction is not funny
    "Jew!" - Ladder to Heaven
    "Jew!" - Fun with Veal
    "Jew!" - Spontaneous Combustion
"I told you Jewish people don't have rhythm" - Rainforest Schmainforest edit »
  • Across from Casa Bonita is the same Pawn Shop that appears in "Butter's Very Own Episode," the edge of the Studcat Theatre is in the frame also. edit »
  • It seems that Casa Bonita is a real restaurant in Denver, Colorado. More info about it is at this site www.casabonitadenver.com. There was another Casa Bonita restaurant located in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. This location closed down in 2006 though. The only Casa Bonita restaurant that currently exists is the Denver location. edit »
  • Cartman calls Kyle a Jew 16 times during the montage. edit »
  • Eric Stough is the regularly credited Director of Amination for South Park. For this episode he was credited as Eric Leopold Stotch. The character of Butters was based on Eric Stough and in this episode we learn that Butters first name is Leopold. Butters is his nickname because his last name is Stotch (Butter Scotch, get it?) edit »
  • Cartman: Kyle you dont understand. Casa Bonita is my most favorite place in the whole world, I'll just die if you don't take me, please!
Kyle: Sorry, my mind's made up.
Cartman: WELL F*CK YOU KYLE! I DONT WANT TO GO TO YOUR FAGGY BIRTHDAY PARTY ANYWAY! I'D RATHER HANG OUT AT HOME THAN BE AROUND YOU AND YOUR JEW MOM FOR A DAY! KISS MY BALLS ASSHOLE! (leaves the house but enters again) Dude I totally didn't mean that Kyle. I really, really want to go to Casa Bonita. I'm sorry we had that fight just now, you know I said some things you said some things, but I think it was good, we've moved past it.
Kyle: I'm still not inviting you to Casa Bonita.
Cartman: WELL F*CK YOU KYLE! I HOPE YOU DIE, I HOPE YOU F*CKING DIE! edit »
  • Cartman: Oh my God! That meteor is the size of Wyoming and it's on a collision course for Earth.
Butters: When do you think it'll get here?
Cartman: I, I don't know, I, have to do some calculations. 10 to the power of 1 base 9 divided by pi plus 5 minus 3. edit »
  • Stan: Dude, I wonder where Kyle is.
Cartman: Maybe he caught a disease and died. That'd be so awesome.
Stan: Dude that's not funny. You shouldn't joke about that.
    Kenny: (Yeah).
    Cartman: Who's joking? (Kyle enters)
Kyle: You guys, you guys, I have awesome news!
Cartman: You have AIDS? edit »
  • (Cartman thinks he gets to go to Casa Bonita)
Kyle: Who said I'm inviting you?
Cartman: You, your mom said you could take three friends.
Kyle: Yes. Three friends. You're not my friend. edit »
  • Stan: Dude, it's Kyle's birthday. We should do whatever he wants to do.
Cartman: What? F(beep)k Kyle. (everyone looks at him) Ha ha, just kidding, birthday joke. Of course we'll do whatever Kyle wants. Happy Birthday, Kyle. edit »
  • Chips-A Hoy!:

The cookie box that Cartman gave to Butters when Butters went to hide in the refrigerator "Chips-A-Ho!" is a parody of the cookie brand Chips-A Hoy! edit »
  • The Fugitive:

Police officers: Ok, kid, end of the line.

When Cartman is standing on the edge of the waterfall at the end of the episode, two police officers approach him and say, "Ok, kid, end of the line." Much like in the 1993 film The Fugitive. edit »
  • If You Leave Me Now:

The song Butters' sings while in the bomb shelter and the dump is called "If You Leave Me Now," originally recorded by Chicago. edit »
  • 28 Days Later:

When Cartman tells him not to leave the bunker, and the fight with the zombie, the whole zombies and radiation part is similar to a lot of movies, but one in particular is the 2002 film 28 Days Later.

Also, Butters coming out of the refrigerator not knowing what's going on and seeing South Park as deserted and trashed is like Jim in "28 Days Later" waking from a coma. edit »
