In-joke: Jonathan refers to a director at a research facility, Edwin Cass, who they later meet and gives them problems. The name is a thinly disguised parody of Evan Katz, the series creator and executive producer.

Alice: Nick’s at anger management? Consider my world rocked.
(edit)
Lester: I detect angry cynicism.
Nick: And I detect a man who lives in his mother’s basement. (edit) Carl: We should have never gotten married. I was 102, she was 98, but we were young, we didn’t know any better.
Page: Are you expecting me to care?
Carl: I forgot for a minute that this is a purely professional arrangement with no room for my personal feelings whatsoever.
Page: Well as long as that’s clear. (edit) Page: (about Jonathan) Sometimes I find myself thinking this young man need a quick kick in the rear.
Nick: Or somewhere else. (edit) Nick: My teachers used to always call me Nick. Actually, it was short for “Nick, you’ve got detention.” (edit)
