The adventures of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy are being told in a thrilling new motion picture. But as SpongeBob and Patrick soon learn, their heroes are not in the movie. The real Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy were considered too old, so their filmic counterparts will be two young actors that are nothing like the heroes. SpongeBob is outraged, and he sets out to make his own version of the Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy movie using the real guys fresh from their retirement home.
Read Full Recap » (warning: possible spoilers!)This episode was alright. I've definitely seen worse from this season, but I've also seen better.
I'll start with the bad stuff. Firstly, Sandy was way out of character as the boom operator. Okay, maybe not out of character, but annoying. "Did somebody say boom?" Bleh. Also, there was Pearl crying, which I hate. I wish she was never on the show in the first place. Honestly.
That said, there was plenty to laugh at. There was a classic SpongeBob-esque close-up (of his mouth), then there was Squidward's "makeover" for MermaidMan and BarnacleBoy. And of course, there was Patrick and that darn ol' lens cap.
So, overall, a pretty good ep.
It was pretty good, but it was kind of annoying. hide show
Overall, this was a great episode, especially for an MM and BB episode, but I was a little annoyed by it, which is why I didn't give it a higher score. The thing that annoyed me about it was Pearl's part. She acted waaaaaayyyyyyyy too immature! One of the things I did like about this episode, however, was how she had to play the car in the movie. I also liked how bad the movie Spongebob made turned out and the expression on his and Pat's faces when they were eating their popcorn! Mermaid Man was at his best in this episode in my opinion. I liked how he couldn't remember why he had started crying and didn't know how he got up on the table. I also thought it was funny how he kept messing up when they were filming the movie. Overall, this was a great episode and one of the best MM and BB episodes. Marebear2009, out!
Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy six the motion picture was awesome. it was probably the best episode of season four.I liked Mermaidman's enemy the Kelp thing. he was cool. I also liked the animation. I liked it when mr. Krabs wanted a Krabby patty to be in the movie. It was funny how Plankton wanted to play Man ray. I loved Sandy as the Boom operator. Everytime somebody said boom, she blew up Mermaidman and barnacle boy. I also liked how Peral played the invisible boat mobile. Spongebob was gross when he ate the worms. spon gebob,s movie turned out funny but horrible.
IMO this is a good episode that is worth watching and i believe it to be a classic, maybe not on par with some higher classics, but still a classic. In it Spongebob and Patrick and their friends make a film starring Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy after a real director does but they're angry because he is using actors, not the real Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. The film is not a grand success but Mermaid Man feels happy he's been on the big screen. All in all i think it's a good episode and one that is quite entertaining.
Best episode of Season 4! hide show
This was a wonderful episode! I LOVED it! I mean this is WAY better than a regular episode wuold be for Season 4. This was just perfect! I loved how Squidward made over MM and BB! That was HILARIOUS! I mean they look like muscle men! I also loved the part where Sandy keeps blowing MM and BB up. Whenvever someone said boom she would blow up MM and BB. I also loved how bad their movie turned out. Spongebob and Patrick are cheering, while everyone else hates the movie. I loved how Mermaid Man kept messing up the line: "We have to get back those stolen Krabby Patties!" LOL!
Overall, this episode gets an...A+++++++++(100%)!
