Sandy's experimental teleportation device malfunctions, melding SpongeBob and Squidward into one body. This makes working in the kitchen and behind the check out counter at the Krusty Krab a bit of an issue. But Squidward's main concern is his big clarinet recital that's just one day away. Unless Sandy can reverse the effects of her machine, Squidward will have to find a way to hide SpongeBob during his performance. Add a recap »

  • In this episode, when SpongeBob and Squidward are mutated, Squidward uses SpongeBob's yellow arm to move and SpongeBob uses Squidward's gray arm to move. At the end of the episode, before they go on stage, SpongeBob tells Squidward, "Now go out there and give them the best darn show they have ever seen," pointing with the yellow arm, not the gray. edit »
  • When Squidward mentions he cannot be stuck to that yellow freak (SpongeBob), Squidward's arm, on the other side of SpongeBob, is yellow instead of pale aqua. edit »
  • At the end of the episode, SpongeBob, Squidward, Sandy, Patrick, Mr Krabs, Pearl, Mrs. Puff, and Larry (not seen in the last scene) were melded together, but it never showed how they got back to normal. edit »
  • Bubbles were mildly animated in this episode. edit »
  • The fish in the audience for Squidward's recital keep changing seats. edit »
  • This is the first time SpongeBob and Squidward are stuck to each other. edit »
  • Plankton doesn't appear in this episode. edit »
  • The title of this episode is another rearrangement of SpongeBob SquarePants. edit »
  • This episode can be seen in the "Karate Island" DVD. edit »
  • Patrick appears in this episode, but doesn't say a single line. edit »
  • Therapist: So, what seems to be the problem, Mr. Tentacles?
Squidward: It all started when I was born. (Camera zooms and you can see SpongeBob, Sandy, Mr. Krabs, Patrick, Mrs. Puff and Pearl fused with him in a grotesque form) edit »
  • Squidward: There's got to be a way to reverse this!
Sandy: Be careful, Squidward! That is a very sensitive device! edit »
  • Fish: I've got to lay off the hot sauce! edit »
  • Squidward: It all started when I was born. edit »
  • SpongeBob: Squidward, everybody knows I'm a sponge. I look nothing like a balloon. edit »
  • A similar fusing occurred in a Star Trek: Voyager episode, when Tuvok and Neelix fused due to a teleporter incident into the character Tuvix. edit »
  • Squidward: Hair
Squidward's hair in his fantasy is similar to Kenny G's. edit »
  • The Episode is a spoof of "The Fly!" edit »
