    Hi all,

There is a new sport-based reality format in Finland called The Winning Team. It's focused on a brand new sport, called Leet, which no-one has ever played before.

"A completely new and innovative team sport payed with unique sticks and balls inside the glamorous custom arena, Leet has been specifically created to level the playing field and provide everyone with an equal shot at sports stardom".

I am involved with the show myself (full disclosure, so please don't heckle me for posting this as my first post) - which is now up to episode 2 on MTV3 (Finland's largest commerical channel) and airs during weekend primetime - but would be very interested to know what the general opinion of the sport itself is. I think it looks great, but please let me know your thoughts!

You can watch it through katsomo.fi and by typing "Voittajajoukkue" into the search engine. It's in Finnish, but just skip ahead to see the sport itself (in episode 2 onwards).

Look forward to hearing your opinion. Could it take off?

From the footage I saw, it looks like a version of LaCrosse but with no goalie. So I really don't have an opinion. Many years ago I saw an article & saved it about the Finnish sport Pesäpallo. Being a huge baseball fan myself, I found it interesting & wondered how that sport is doing.

    Hi,

Pesäpallo is a big sport over here. During the season the results of the games are featured on sports news and it has quite a large following (in Finnish terms). As you probably gather, there are many similarities to baseball - it's derived from that sport - but it's distinctly different.
