On another note, I am very impressed with East Carolina. I think they deserve to be ranked, after upsetting two straight ranked teams.

They jumped up to #14 in the new AP poll. It's been nine years since ECU last made the Top 25.

While the University of Texas hasn't played any big games yet, people down here in Austin have been impressed by what we've seen. Most of us were anticipating this to be a rebuilding year, but the team has looked solid so far. They still need work, but not as much as we were predicting.

It's looking more and more like this Saturday's game between the University of Texas and Arkansas will be canceled due to Hurricane Ike. It hasn't been officially announced, but most of the news stations and sports commentators are saying it's only a matter of time. Of course, the hurricane could change course in the next 24 hours...

It was. They officially announced it right after I posted. Sept. 27th was really the only option, but horrible for the city of Austin. That's right in the middle of the Austin City Limits Music Fest, one of the largest live music fests in the nation. it brings hundreds of thousands into the city. Hotels are pretty much already booked full that weekend, and their won't be any parking. Officials are scrambling to find Arkansas a place to stay.

ECU is impressive. My buddy the Hokie was ecstatic over ECU's win last weekend.

Got a little ahead of yourself. USF 37, KU 34.

PS. I feel your pain. I was rooting for Kansas.

That Kansas vs South Florida game, was probably the best game we will see this weekend. That was a good game.

Wisconsin at Fresno St tonight should be another good one. Wouldn't be surprised if Fresno wins it.

What a snooze fest between Auburn and Miss St. Auburn wins 3-2, mkaes that 6-4 game between Iowa and Penn state a few years ago look like a shoot out.

ECU escaped with a win over Tulane 28-24

Purdue choked on duck, had Oregon down 20-3 only to lose in OT 33-26 Mizzou, Oklahoma, Penn State, BYU all went over 50. Couple more teams might crack 50 before the night is over. Mizzou put up 69.

Cal got shell shocked by the Terps

Illinois eaked out a win over Louisiana-Lafayette

USC is dominating the Buckeyes so far, 28-3 in the third.
