You make a good point, but a lot of us made that conclusion a while ago. WWE (or WWF, before the lawsuit) has been a parody of itself for years now, and the Trump-McMahon shaving wager only pushed the league further into irrelevance.

Yeah...i miss the old wrestling greats...but you gotta relise there will be those who become great eventually...

As for the media....i think wrestling is more about the publicity... and this year's wrestlemania wasn't as good as i wished it was....

i just hope eventually...it gets back to wrestling with less talking....

WWE has been going down hill since it diluted it's brand by adding all the other wrestlers from WCW, and ECW.  Then they added so many different titles.  Three WWE championship belts for each show, two different tag team belts.  SmackDown has the either the aging rejects the untalented and ridicules.  ECW is just worse, a waste of programming on the SCi-FI channel.  Raw is the only one that is still good, but going down the hill.

I think I know a way to fix it.  First you get rid of all the belts keeping one WWE championship belt, the WWE Interconanetal belt, the WWE United States championship, one WWE Tag team belt, the Cruiserweight Championship, make a Hardcore title and thats it.  You combine all three shows and story lines, cut down the rosters, and have the wrestle on all three shows.  You get better competition, less confusion with all the different shows and titles, and create excitement that seems to be lacking with WWE.

I agree completely. I started watcing like two years before he first draft which made them seperate brand shows. I liked it better when they would travel to both shows and taker on opponents twice a week. They need better storylines. That is what I want them to do first. Here is a comparison with not the good past or the bad past just the recent past meaning like 2 years ago. Lesnar was beating every one in sight he had Heyman as a manager. We had no clue what would happen. Now we have Umaga he doesnt't lose unless your a Champion WWE, World Heavyweight, or ECW. His manager Armando allejandro. The difference... one storyline and wrestler is boring the other got me addicted to the WWE.

I stopped watching WWE a while ago. I was hooked though, when they were still WWF and when there were the real DX. Not the one they just re-opened.

I think we are stuck with different rosters for different shows because Vince wants to keep as many of his stars under contract as he can for fear of losing too many to a rival promotion and then having to deal with serious competition. Given that the best solution might be to let ECW have its own titles and then do the following for Smackdown and RAW.

    1. Floating Titles: World Champion, Tag Team Champion and Womens Champion. These would be competed on both shows and when the champion(s) lose they take the victors spot on whatever roster is involved.

     2. RAW: Intercontinental, US Tag Team, Cruiserweight

     3. Smackdown: US Title, Hardcore, Women's Tag Team

This splitting might give each show its own distinct flavour

Now only if we could get the WWE to agree with this idea.

wrestling always goes through these high and low periods, when when the wwf (as it was at the time) was going through a poor period who was created? Steve Austin, the Rock and HHH. The problem with the current crop, they just can't compete with the memories of the rock and Austin.

Kurt Angle: Never did anything with him and with CM Punk, Mr. Kennedy I don't miss him.

Lesnar: Overrated big guy and bad mic skills.

Austin: He got old and hurt. He will be missed but his gimmick got stale anyway.

Rock: Good all around, only one on your list that is.

Goldberg: ?? This guy was terrible! No mic skills, not in ring skills. Just a boring dud.

Big SHow: Same as goldberg only fatter and slower. He is called the big slow.

The WWE has good talent, Orton,Edge,Burke,Punk,Kennedy,Benoit,MVP,Benjamin,Nitro, etc etc etc etc.......They just need to use them better.
