Star Jones-Reynolds, who was unceremoniously booted from daytime talk show The View last month, will do a weeklong guest-host gig on the HGTV series House Hunters, according to People magazine. Jones-Reynolds will assist people trying to buy a home in the New York area.

Jones-Reynolds was abruptly fired from the daytime talk show on June 27. She announced her departure on the show, telling viewers she would be leaving in mid-July.

"I feel like this is the right time to tell you that the show is moving in another direction for its 10th season, and I will not be returning as cohost next year," she said.

The next day, Jones did not return to the show, and she told tabloids that the network and Barbara Walters had acted against her.

"I feel like I was fired," she told People at the time.

Jones-Reynolds told Larry King that she was "sad that the platform that I helped to build was used in a way to attack me professionally."

Last week, Jones-Reynolds' appearances on other talk shows raised their respective ratings. Her appearance on Larry King Live helped the show gain 3 million viewers, almost triple what that show averages, and an interview with Al Roker on NBC's Today Show was watched by 6 million.

Today, Jones-Reynolds removed phone numbers and addresses for Barbara Walters and the ABC television network from her Web site, which she had posted there urging her fans to protest. The New York Post reports that ABC has removed all traces of Jones-Reynolds memorabilia from the premises.

Jones-Reynolds begins her House patrol Monday, July 10.

I think "The View" is going downhill fast. The new direction they have chosen will never work out. It seems to me that Barbara, Rosie and Joy all speak the same language and push their agenda. Elizabeth is the only one that has anything decent to say. The other three women shout and agree in unison their opinions. I prefer to see and listen to different ideas and opinions and to learn from them all. I miss Star Jones and I think her presence and comments on issues were always honest and direct but never offensive. I think "The View" has lots it class and reputation. Too bad Barbara Walters, I guess you even make mistakes.

More like on the hunt for food in other people's houses; she's a MAJOR pig and will always be.

I like Star Jones. I thought she was the best co-host of the View. I'll miss her. I'm not a fan of Rosie O'donnell, so I won't be watching the View anymore.

Can I just say how very sick I am of any story about Star Jones-Reynolds!!! She is not even a celebrity - she is a lawyer who likes to talk about celebrities. Let her go back to the courtroom, or let her go to CourtTV and she can talk about Celebrity Justice or some other stupid show. I just want her to GO AWAY!!

Because the more people notice her, the more she loves herself.
