1. Preview Trailers question for Tng, Ds9, Voy, and Ent. | 07/21/2008 6:57pm

Why were the preview trailers to The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise not included in the dvd box sets?

There are preview trailers in Star Trek : The Original box sets.

So to me it doesn't make sense.

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

The only reason that I can come up with is... that for TNG, DS9, and Voyager Paramount (or CBS) did not think that they were needed or wanted. Also TOS was put on DVD from the original reels of film. The same reels that were used to put the TOS on VHS. These reels included the previews. I have also found that in some areas if TNG, DS9 or Voyager were not showing a new episode the next week the rerun was different. (Example--I live in Jacksonville, FL and the rerun was The Inner Light but in the Tampa, FL market the rerun would be The Next Phase on the same week.) I can only guess as to why the previews were left out. You could also check with CBS Home Video (formerly Paramount Home Video) and see if they could give you an answer. Contact informations is listed on the CBS web site. I hope this helps answer your question.
