This episode was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects For A Series. (edit) Captain Levine was named for Script Coordinator Alex Levine. (edit) Yee Jee Tso (Systems Tech) previously played a Technician in the Stargate SG-1 episode "Absolute Power". (edit) The events of this episode in the Stargate chronology take place following the Stargate SG-1: The Ark of Truth movie during which or prior, Carter is promoted to a full Colonel. The movie was set to be released before Atlantis's fourth season was to begin. However because of post-production delays, it was postponed until 2008 making this episode the first time viewers saw Carter as a full Colonel. Sheppard: What is?
McKay: Us fighting! Look, I know you're not happy with me and you may have some cause but it's not gonna matter much if we don't figure a way out of this right? Look, we have to work together so... so I'm sorry.

Sheppard: The what?
McKay: We've just been through an asteroid belt. The big stuff is behind us but there's still an amount of bullet sized rocks out there.
Sheppard: Tiny rock bullets? Great.
McKay: I'm sure you'll be fine. (edit) McKay: It's complicated. Look, imagine them as leaky pipes okay?
Sheppard: Okay.
McKay: So you pump water through them, they leak right?
Sheppard: Dumb this down any more, you're gonna get hit.

Goof: A screen on the Midway Station shows the iris is closed on the Milky-way Stargate although there is no iris on either of the gates on the Midway station. (edit) This is the first episode of the series in which women with the Ancient gene are seen flying Puddle Jumpers. (edit) Asuras, the Replicator homeworld, visited by the team nearly a year ago in "Progeny", is designated M7R-227. (edit) Atlantis' destination for its new home was M12-578 a planet that has no preexisting Stargate. (edit) Goof: After the asteroid mission, as Sheppard exits his Jumper, the Jumper in the background that is coming in for the landing has the pilot on the right/starboard side of the ship. In every other scene of this episode, and where Sheppard always sits, the pilot is on the Port side of the ship, similar to American cars. (edit)
