  • In a flashback, Ronon and Melena argue about how he wants her to go offworld with Kell, who was Ronon's task master and was seen (and killed by Ronon) in "Trinity." edit »
  • This episode is the first time we see a planet that Ronon visited while he was a Runner and, as a result, brought the Wraith. In "Runner", Ronon mentioned that he had stayed in a village for a brief time, and the Wraith had attacked it, but it is never stated if that village is the one shown in this episode. edit »
  • Various Wraith technology is revealed within this episode, including glasses that perform an unknown function, a locater device designed to track the homing beacon within a Wraith Runner, and a smaller version of the Wraith probe that sends a video back to the Hive. edit »
  • After McKay gets shot in the backside he refers several times to not being able to sit down, but during most of his time in the Puddle Jumper on Sateda, he was sat in the cockpit. edit »
  • This episode marks the first time Dr. Beckett kills someone human or Wraith. edit »
  • This episode had an unusually large budget, making it the most expensive episode of Stargate Atlantis since the 2-hour pilot movie. edit »

  • McKay: (on morphine) So many colors...all the pretty horses.
    Weir: What's he talking about?
Beckett: I gave him some morphine for the pain.
Major: I need to know how many villagers. How far is the gate from the village?
McKay: Have you seen a guy around? He looks like you, but he's got messy hair. I think I lost him somewhere, and a pretty girl and a caveman.
Beckett: I may have given him a wee bit much. edit »
  • McKay: What the hell is going on down there?
Sheppard: Ronon thinks he can get the head Wraith responsible for all this to come down and fight him if we kill all these Wraith first.
McKay: That is the stupidest plan I have ever heard.
Sheppard: I don't know, killing a bunch of Wraith always seems like a good idea to me.
    McKay: They outnumber you 25-to-3.
    Beckett: It's actually 22-to-3. 21.
Teyla: And Ronon appears to be quite angry.
McKay: (sarcastically) Well that evens it out. edit »
  • Ronon: You kill him before I do, I kill you.
Sheppard: What if he kills you first?
Ronon: Then you kill him. edit »
  • McKay: I'm going.
    Beckett: You can barely walk!
McKay: I can walk fine, I just can't sit.
Beckett: And you're a terrible shot.
McKay: Oh, and you're Rambo now? edit »
  • Beckett: (about Ronan) Oh, you're buddies now, are ya?
McKay: Yeah, more than that, he saved my life. He's like a brother to me.
Beckett: Aye, a brother who got every gene you didn't, and vice versa. edit »
  • Rambo:

When McKay and Beckett argue over who is going to help Ronon and the team, McKay scathingly implies that Beckett is "no Rambo". This is a clear allusion to the popular cult movies Rambo starring Sylvester Stallone. The Rambo movies, the first of which was First Blood were often violent and bloody, due to Rambo's excellent shooting capabilities - something McKay believes that Beckett doesn't have. edit »
