Mitchell mentions reading the files of the case where the team first encountered the transmission stones. This was a continuous gag throughout the season about Mitchell reading all the SG-1 files is actually a reference to Ben Browder. He wanted to see all previous episodes of the show before the new season started. He watched around 180 episodes in a row.
(edit)
Ben Browder was originally in the running for the role of Stargate Atlantis's John Sheppard, but had to pull out due to filming commitments for Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars. Joe Flanigan got the part and Browder was kept in mind when the role of Cameron Mitchell was formed.
(edit) Louis Gossett Jr. was considered for the role of General Hank Landry. He ended up on the show anyway as he was cast as a Jaffa leader named Gerak. (edit) On Sky One the opening credits were full-length and replaced the 10 second version that lasted up until "The Fourth Horseman" for the U.S. version (edit) Syndication Premiere: September 23-24, 2006 (edit)

Daniel: (To Vala) I'm sure if there is a monster down here, it's gonna be much more scared of you than you are of it. Especially once it gets to know you.
(edit)
Vala: (to Daniel) Isn't this where I beat you up?
(edit)
Mitchell: (to Daniel) Or you can marry this chick.
Vala: Yeah! Let's make babies! (edit) Mitchell: Well, Walter, doesn't look like we're getting the band back together. (edit) Teal'c: We are attempting to build a whole new system of government that will span Jaffa worlds throughout the galaxy.
Cameron: Yeah, how's that going?
Teal'c: Not good. (edit)

Trivia: During the flashback sequence when Mitchell is in the hospital bed, Sam appears to have the gold oak leaves of the rank of Major while Jack clearly is a one-star Brigadier General.
(edit)
Colonel Mitchell was the only one to try to remove the sword. For some reason no one else tries.
(edit)
Daniel says that what was believed to be King Arthur's tomb was exhumed by the order of Henry II in 1278. However, Henry II died in 1189, 89 years earlier.
(edit)
Trivia: General Landry was personally picked by Jack O'Neill to succeed him.
(edit)
Trivia: Colonel Mitchell led the squadron of F-302s in defence of SG-1 against Anubis' forces during the Battle of Antarctica in "Lost City (2)"
(edit)
The devices Vala tricks Daniel into wearing are very similar to the I-Yensch bracelets from Farscape, which also linked the two wearers together.
(edit)
Mitchell: Did I mention I'm on a mission from God?
Referencing the movie The Blues Brothers, where when trying to put their old band back together, Elwood (Dan Aykroyd) says, "You see, we're on a mission from God." (edit) Mitchell: You ever get a bad feeling about something?
Alluding to the Star Wars movies, where "I've got a bad feeling about this" is uttered by several of the lead characters (Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, young Obi Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker). (edit) Vala: (to Mitchell) I know we haven't met. That I'm sure I would have remembered.
Subtle allusion to the fact that the two actors playing these characters were together on the series Farscape. (edit) List of Ancients
On Stargate: Atlantis, the team sent back a list of names of the Ancients who returned to Earth when the city of Atlantis was abandoned shortly before the Wraith were to overrun the city. (edit)
