Amanda Tapping (Samantha Carter) does not appear in this episode. The explanation is that she is briefing the President on the events that took place in the previous episode "The Road Not Taken."

Landry: (about Sam) She’s still there briefing the president on the scenario that played out in the alternate reality where the Stargate was made public.
Mitchell: That’s taking longer than it was supposed to.
Daniel: It could be a good way to examine what might happen here.
Landry: Sounds like President Hayes is having a hard time just getting past the fact the he wasn’t president. (edit) Teal’c: This is not a tomb.
Mitchell: It’s a museum.
Daniel: Well, that would explain why the hieroglyphs are all jumbled. (edit) Mitchell If they found a gate they must have found a DHD, no?
Daniel: We didn’t.
Mitchell: Well, they knew enough to build a pretty convincing replica so they must have one lying around here somewhere, no?
Daniel: No, they could have just fabricated it from drawings.
Teal’c: If indeed they did possess an authentic DHD would they not display it near the authentic gate? (edit) Daniel: (running into room where Mitchell’s holding hostages) What the hell happened?
Mitchell: We had a little misunderstanding.
Daniel: Yeah, I can see that.
Vala: Might have been easier to just pose as party guests. (edit) Daniel: This is not how you make first contact with people!
Mitchell: Not intentionally, no. (edit)

Although it's only a replica (but a highly accurate one built from diagrams), the museum DHD should not bear the Earth origin symbol (which was clearly visible as Mitchell tipped it over). This symbol should only appear on Earth's DHD, if it still existed, for dialing out and would be useless anywhere but on Earth.

Jayem Saran: Filthy rebel scum!
This is likely a reference to the scene from the third movie of the original Star Wars trilogy, Return of the Jedi (1983), where an Imperial officer utters the famous line, "You rebel scum" upon capturing Han Solo on the moon of Endor. (edit) Mitchell: We got ourselves a bit of a John McClane here.
This is in reference to Bruce Willis' character in the Die Hard movies. The first movie had him trapped in an office building during a terrorist takeover. (edit)
