Daniel: The monk is just someone who has taken up curatorship.
Jack: Kind of a janitor?
Daniel: More of a guide...
Jack: An usher?
Daniel: It doesn't matter. (edit) (entering the temple square)
Jack: Well, someone's been reading Martha Stewart. (edit) Monk: Those who seek oneness, find all that they seek.
Daniel: I think this is gonna take a while.
Jack: (sarcastic) Really? What gives you that idea? (edit) Bra'tac: I believe he wishes us to take off our boots.
Jack: Yeah, look uh, we've been walking a ways today...
Monk: (interrupts) Your journey has only begun.
Jack: Yeah, I'm just saying I think I'm doing us all a big favor by keeping these babies on. (edit) (examining the dead Jaffa)
Sam: This is really weird. These bodies are burnt to a crisp, yet nothing around them has even been touched. It's almost as if lightning struck them.
Jack: Or maybe some kind of...
Teal'c: I have never before seen a weapon that could do such a thing.
Jack: ...weapon. (edit)

When Bra'tac's new apprentice dies in the infirmary all the machines he's hooked up to, including a heart monitor continue as if he were still alive. If he had truly died several alarms would have sounded.
(edit)
When Daniel tells Jack and the others to put down their weapons Teal'c and Bratac's staff weapons close, but no sound is heard.
(edit)
When the Jaffa are entering the temple area on Kheb, Teal'c and Bratac's staff weapons can be heard making the opening sound, but Bratac's doesn't open.
(edit)
When they first enter the forest on Kheb (about ten minutes into the episode) a paved road can clearly be seen in the forest background.

Character name: Major James Coburn
James Coburn was an actor who starred in numerous westerns, as well as many other roles. (edit) Jack: Oh, slow down there, Grasshopper.
This refers to the TV-series Kung Fu in which Caine is often called "Grasshopper" by the blind master at the Shaolin Temple. The set here is the temple which resembles a Buddhist temple. (edit) Jack: Somebody's been reading Martha Stewart!
As SG-1 enters the temple at Kheb, they note the beauty of the place. Martha Stewart is famous for her interior design. (edit) Event: chained lightning strike
The chain lightning that takes out the double column of Jaffa at the temple bears a resemblance to the lightning that killed the Nazis at the end of "Raiders of the Lost Ark". (edit)
