From this episode onwards, all the episodes are filmed with 35 mm lenses. Previous episodes were all filmed with 16 mm lenses (except the effect shots).

The episode opens with Daniel Jackson confined to the infirmary recovering from an appendectomy. This was written into the script because it actually happened to actor Michael Shanks.
(edit)
For some reason, on the DVD boxed set, the opening credits of this episode are the same as those of the pilot. [Editor's note: Every episode in the season 4 box set has the original opening credits.]

Syndication airdate: May 14, 2001.

Thor: The Replicators were brought aboard an Asgard ship, for study, before the danger could be fully comprehended.
Jack: We do that all the time. Kind of expected more from you guys. (edit) Jack: Wait a minute. Are you trying to tell me that with all this advanced intergalactic technology, this ship can’t withstand a little heat?
Thor: In order to reflect the subspace field of the phase generators...
Jack: (interrupts) So... no. (edit) Jack: (screams) Come on, come on... breathe! (Teal'c opens eyes) Oh, yeah. That's following orders. (edit) Jack: Come on, Teal'c, lighten up. We've been in these situations before...
Sam: No, sir, we haven't.
Jack: ...we haven't? (edit) Jack: Say something.
Teal'c: One small step for a Jaffa.
Jack: Very nice. (edit)

When Jack is talking to Daniel in the infirmary, the x-ray images on the light board change between shots.
(edit)
If the replicators are attracted by energy pulses from the transporter, how come they miss Tealc's being beamed back on the ship? [Editor's note: Perhaps since they were about to start the descent into Earth's atmosphere, it didn't seem worth it to them.]
(edit)
Teal'c: One small step for Jaffa...
"One small step for man" were the famous words by Neil Armstrong when he first stepped onto the Moon in 1969. (edit) Jack: If you don't want to enjoy the beauty of Northern Minnesota...
This is ironic because Jack "Richard Dean Anderson" is from Minneapolis, Minnesota. (edit)
