(edit)
Although hinted at in several other episodes, this episode is notable for being the only time in the entire series that Huggy Bear is actually referred to as being a pimp. When Starsky & Hutch go to see him for some information, we see him trying to repair a scooter, with two of Huggy's girls, seemingly prostitutes, in the background; Hutch comments "That's a brilliant disguise, Huggy. Who'd ever think of looking for a pimp on a motor-scooter?". It isn't made clear whether Huggy actually is a pimp, or if it's just his latest guise for meeting with Starsky and Hutch.
