  • Starsky mentions that Hutch was born in Duluth, Minnesota. []
  • The full names that the duo use as entertainers are: Zack Shecky (Hutch) and Hack Tuppleworth (Starsky). []
  • Huggy's gig: Left in charge of running his cousin's magic shop, Huggy fancies himself as a magician; even though he can't get any of the tricks right (in one of his most humorous antics of the series). []
  • Passenger Clint Takahashi's wife is played by Elizabeth Meyer (no dialogue; uncredited), Paul Michael Glaser's then-girlfriend who would go on to be his wife in 1980. Tragically, Elizabeth Glaser died of complications from AIDS in 1994 after receiving an HIV-tainted blood transfusion in 1981. Sadly, the disease also claimed the couple's 7-year-old daughter Arial in 1988. []
  • The shot of Starsky and Hutch on their bill-board as Hack and Zack, (with Hutch sitting on a stool, and Starsky leaning up against him, against a blue background), is a commonly used first season publicity shot of the pair for the series. []
  • Although not evident on-screen, David Soul actually has his ankle taped up in this episode, after he broke it during filming 'Little Girl Lost', shown later in the season but the episode filmed prior to this story. []
