Steve sponsors events that benefit Homestead Hospital in Miami, Florida through NASCAR as well. He does autograph signings, and meet & greets with the fans for donations to the children's health funds. Steve is always amazed at the fans generosity, one man in particular, who gave an additional $200.00 for his $5.00 NASCAR sticker.

Steve took his first ride in a race car with Dale Earnhardt, Jr. He rode alongside the famous driver at least 5 times, and was in awe each time at the ease in which he handled the speed.
