LATEST NEWS!

Top 10 finalist bows out of reality competition due to injury; previously eliminated dancer set to fill shoes.

The TCA press tour in Los Angeles is most noted for giving more insight into the upcoming seasons of returning dramas, outlining the tone and feel of new shows, and delving into the minds of the executives who decide what TV viewers watch.

But sometimes a little reality-television news also seeps out. At Fox's So You Think You Can Dance panel this morning, producers dropped a bit of a bombshell for fans of the show: Contestant Jessica King, who advanced into the top 10 last Thursday, is now out of the competition.

According to multiple online reports, King suffered an injury--presumably to one of her dance-tastic appendages--sometime after last week's show and can no longer continue with the program. Her vacated space will be filled by Comfort Fedoke, who was momentarily ousted last week.

Producers are being cagey about the specifics of the injury, which of course only stokes the rumor fire.

"I've been instructed not to talk about the injury," said very British-ly named So You Think You Can Dance producer Nigel Lythgoe, according to The Los Angeles Times. "You have a law here that says I cannot discuss the injury."

Where do I start? First of all I liked Jessica, she wasn't as great as Will but she tried and they just would not let up on her. Mia is my favorite person on that show because she knows how to weed them out but, last week when she said that Will was sick of carrying Jessica and that he needed a new partner my jaw dropped. I just could not believe she said that, some people can only take so much before it breaks them down. Me, I love Mia's brutal honesty but she wasn't taking into consideration Jessica's, the person to whom she was addressing, mentality at all, everybody doesn't react the same way to criticism especially when then have already been trampled on. I think she did deserve better then that and I do think that Mia was in the wrong to say that in the manner she did. She could have sugar coated it a little more on camera and appropriately told her the rest off camera, none-the-less Jessica wasn't performing like she should have and I don't think she would have won. I do think that there is something going on that they are not saying I absolutely do not believe in this injury b*s* at all. Secondly I loved Comfort although she should have gone because she was the worst dancer but I am very glad that she gets another chance to prove herself. And I don't know what everybody else is talking about she has more personality then half the people who have ever been on the show period. Haters!

oy vey! I waited weeks and weeks for the very-very annoying (and personality-less) Comfort to get voted off. Now she's back? Ug! If any dancer should be brought back on the show it should be the other Chelsey. Now she could actually dance and was entertaining to watch.

I completely agree with Prdmomof3. My wife and I always felt bad for Jessica, and now even more so. It's ok though, I guess, because I don't think either her or Comfort are strong enough to win anyways.
