Swoosie Kurtz set to guest star on Heroes

When Pushing Daisies was cancelled last year, fans of the show were crushed. Meanwhile, Heroes' faithful audience jumped for joy; Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller returned to Heroes as a writer, and hopes to provide a badly needed jolt to the wayward program.

As a bonus for Heroes, Fuller isn't just bringing his own talent, he's tapping some of his friends for some help. EW.com is reporting that Swoosie Kurtz, who played the eye- patched Lily Charles, has been signed on for an upcoming episode of Heroes written by Mr. Fuller himself.

"Bryan wrote the part specifically for [Swoosie]," a rep for Kurtz told EW. "It's a really fun role."

In the episode, which is scheduled for April, Kurtz plays an old friend of Angela Petrelli (Cristine Rose) who comes back into her life.

Sure this won't take away the pain of Pushing Daisies going belly up, but it's a start. Right?

wow he has a lot of work cut out for him...if anyone can return heroes to what it was its Bryan fuller but still its gonna take a lot of work to legitimize the show and make people care about the characters again

Hey people!!! There are almose 80000 signatures on the Pushing Daisies petition. We may not get the show back on ABC, but who like ABC now anyway, but we could have another network pick it up or get a movie to finish the plot. Just goes to show that no-one really has a grasp on the story arcs in Heroes anymore. Writing new characters in for drama's sake didn't work during Season 2 and it's not going to work again here.

Although I would have been happier if they'd kept Pushing Daisies on, this is at least some small consolation.

I'd rather have Fuller continuing Daisies than working on Heroes. As much as I love Heroes, Daisies was much better.

Frankly, who cares now that Pushing daisies is gone. I really dont care what the actors are doing seperately. Together they were amazing. Thanks again ABC for being so stupid.
