While television is generally considered a major cause of brain rot, there's still at least one show out there that's trying to help minds grow: Sesame Street. And what better way to do that than by spoofing other television shows? After watching Sesame Street's recent Mad Men parody, we're counting off 10 of our favorites, in no particular order.

7. Desperate Housewives
In this take on Desperate Housewives, sunlight and water are euphemisms for hot studs and sexy time, but don't tell the kids that:

This 30 Rock parody has obvious jokes, but Tina Fey as a real lemon is still hilarious.
5. Grey's Anatomy
This take on Grey's Anatomy is missing doctor hookups, but the graphic dismemberment of the letter "A" makes up for it:

CSI: Miami's Horatio stays cool even on Sesame Street:

Quite interesing... to have Sesame Street create all these parodies that are actually for the mature.
The parodies are more for the sakes of the parents like me who tend to end up watching with their kids. It is like all the adult humour in movies like Shrek and stuff that the little kids just don't get.
Just wonderful. Sesame Street is such a treasure and Jim Henson, wow. I mean think of his legacy! Incredible.

Very funny. It's been over 20 years since I watched Sesame Street regularly, so I haven't seen most of these. :D Still, I know the difference between Oscar and Grover. ;)

the Muppets did a better parody of Star Trek...Piiiigs in Spaaaace!!!
is it just me or does it seem strange that they parody shows that little kids should know nothing about let alone watch? I mean they are hilarous & I'm sure kids love the sketches but I hope the kids arent watching the regular shows.
