We're keeping up our coverage of NBC's Community until NBC puts it back on the schedule! Check back here every Thursday, and don't forget, "Six Seasons and a Movie!"
The best TV shows inspire their fans to do more than just watch. And now that scurvy and sabre-toothed tigers things of the past, we have a lot more time to spend worshiping our favorite shows. Community's internet fan base is as strong as they get, and many of its rabid members have put their artistic skills to good use by honoring the NBC comedy in a variety of ways.
Here's a sampling of some the alt-art (alternative art) homages and other goodies the show has inspired. (Know of more? Let us know in the comments where we can find them and we'll update the post!)

and thankyou to the person who commented on the stupid laugh tracks!
I absolutely hate shows that need a laugh track to tell people when to laugh and have the actors actually wait for them to stop! Total crap!
Go Community!
I do love the Calvin and Hobbs one, but the X-Men one is the best!!!!!!!!! All my friends and I are doing is watching the dvds over and over. They have to bring it back for more seasons, I won't even watch NBC anymore, with the garbage they put on in its place! They had the best show, it's time they brought it back!
And the board game is awesome!
I love the board game. Totally downloading it to play it!
SAVE COMMUNITY.
God bless you, tv.com, for doing this! Us fans need our voices heard too!
Also...Inspector Space-time is the BEST reference EVER to Doctor Who. Both rock!
Save Community!
I love DW too! Love Inspector Spacetime references!!
Hahah the reference to all changs beeing born with a tail in the x-men pic made me laugh so hard my next door neighbour came over wondering what could be so good i had to wake him up.. otherwise the Batman pic is ecually good to the board-game. (Y)
i would have love to seen some the old "donald glover for spiderman" snapshots but of the ones up i would go with Inspector spacetime (eveybody checkout his extensive back round on http://inspectorspacetime.proboards.com/index.cgi) . also i would suggest favorite episodes as the next #sixseasonsansamovie post
X-Men Dean is the greatest thing I ever saw.
Epicness in it's purest form, even purer than Heisenbergs meth
I found a companion picture to the Batman villains where they're Batman heroes (same artist).

Haha that is so cool you gotta love the dean as catwoman!
They are all awesome, but I want the Inspector Spacetime t-shirt.
That board game is awesome.
Poor LeVar Burton gets his name spelled wrong in the board game.
The X-men one is the best, although Troy as Wolverine doesn't quite work for me visually. Second best is Inspector Spacetime, that is awesome, I'd see a movie with that poster!
Ha! The game is very unfair if your Pierce!
Haha these are amazing I love the Batman pic and the game, but they are all fantastic!
who is the dean made up as in the villian line-up?
I hate that I know this, but he's Poison Ivy specifically from the movie Batman & Robin, which is why Britta as comics Poison Ivy looks so weirded out.
That's just his normal Saturday night clothes. He's the only one that didn't get drawn up.
OMG I WANT that board game!!!! Come on NBC do the right thing and BRING BACK COMMUNITY!!
The batman villians and Calvin and Hobbes was great, but I also LOVE the board game. Thanks for continuing to post, though I (along with several friends) look at these and get a little scared we won't ever see a new episode of COmmunity again.
I miss Community! :-(
love the bored game. so playing this weekend.
Hilarious! As a proud owner of every single Calvin and Hobbes comic ever made, I've got to say I enjoyed that "Troy and Abed" one. I also think Two-Face is the perfect alter ego for Jeff.
best show ever..
I can't believe people watch this show. I've been to funnier funerals...
Someone needs to set this dude on fire and have Troy eat him.
Does someone need a laughtrack to tell them when a joke was made?
Man, whose? I want to go!
I bet MichaelPayne's will be high-larious!
LMAO @ Dean Pelton as Emma Frost... The X-Men is my fav
Cool. Cool, cool cool. I love fan art!! These people are so talented! This: http://greendalecollege.deviantart.com/ is where fan art for community is mostly posted on Deviantart if people want to see more...I drew Britta once too.... http://tardisdreamer.deviantart.com/#/d4h8dqh
Great drawing! You totally captured Britta's eyes! It's like she's staring into my soul and trying to psychoanalyze me.
Thank you!
I've never seen that Calvin and Hobbes one, but it's probably my favorite now.
I love the first two! Dean Pelton in both of them, hahaha. Pierce as Magneto is funny
This fandom seriously has some of the most talented people. I love the X-Men one, but the game is pretty epic.
Thank you so much for the post Tim. I would never be competent enough to find any of these on my own. And how is it that Alison Brie manages to eclipse her bar for sexiness in every thing she does, that Batman pic, wow.
My only concern is Community: The Board Game, because it fails to recognise that each roll of the die will create six (actually seven!) different timelines, that will make registering for Greendale substantially more difficult. (I assume you couldn't finish the game until the evil version of yourself returned somehow to your timeline, destroyed you, and reclaimed your life)
Dean Pelton as Emma Frost almost killed me.
As a big fan of Calvin and Hobbes (note my avy), I love the Troy/Abed = Calvin/Hobbes one. It's also the only one of the pictures I'm seeing for the first time.
I like the Calvin and Hobbes one. Though the bored game had me cracking up
*board
I like the Calvin&Hobbes/Troy&Abed, it's very cute and I love both C&H and T&A's relationships, they really and truly are BFFs :P The board game comes in a close second though...
X-men is my favorite. The dean makes a hot emma frost.
The Batman villain piece is cool, especially when paired with the same artist's Batman hero artwork. Also new idea - Community Monopoly board game!
These are great, one of the only things keeping me going, the other is re-watching Community on the TV and trying to drag my housemates into watching it as well.
They are all my favorites! The only one I hadn't seen was the video.. COMMUNITY IT'S THE BEST COMEDY EVAAA!!!
Tim, you're commitment to keep covering Community every Thursday until it is back on the air is amazing! As a fan of this show, I thank you. But I still suffer from bouts of depression while reading these articles. I can be laughing one moment and sullenly nostalgic the next. It seems like an eternity since the last new episode. I'm even starting to forget what Annie's boobs look like! Oh, and the monkey, too. I've joined online Community support groups to try and cope with the pain. Most of the members are also alcoholics, but can you blame them? These Community segments are one of the only things keeping me from watching lesser comedies just to fill the void in my heart. So, yeah, no pressure to continue them.
As for the Alt-Art, hats off to all the entries. You guys are true fans. For my favorite of the bunch, I have to go with the Inspector Spacetime T-Shirt and Movie Poster. They're all great, but I just love the authentically crinkled look of the movie poster and the fantastic tag line: "The question isn't where . . . but when . . ."moreless
I have to fully agee with you! Also, the Inspector Spacetime movie poster is brilliant.
