On DVD packaging and other merchandise, a different character model is used for Apple Dumplin'. Her outfit is slightly more detailed, but most notably, her hair is yellow rather than reddish-orange and she has a somewhat different hairstyle. Additionally, Strawberry is seen in merchandise in an outfit with small red, green, pink and white stripes, whereas on the program, her outfit contains only large red and white stripes. edit »
In this episode, Strawberry Shortcake states that she is throwing a party for Apple Dumplin's first birthday. Apple Dumplin' seems to be rather advanced for a girl of only one-year-old. While many her age would still be in a crib, Apple Dumplin' walks and talks on her own. She seems rather aware of the world around her, as well as much of what is said to her, can mimic the speech of others and speak many words and phrases on her own. edit »
