First appearance of Toyman. He would later make a reappearance towards the end of the series' run and be a guest villain on Static Shock, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited.
(edit)
Toyman: A childhood is a terrible thing to loose, Miss Lane, but I'm getting mine back... with a vengeance.
(edit)
Toyman: I'm ever so sorry to spoil your nice celebration, but I have a very important message to your boss Mr. Mannheim. Please tell him the Toyman is calling timeout on his little games. And don't be tardy...
(edit)
GoofThe striker lever does not release from the smoke grenade after the robber pulls the safety pin and throws it. So the grenade should not release smoke.
(edit)
When Lois takes notes on the incident involving the thug's van, the pen she uses has a small planet on the end, identical to the one in the Daily Planet logo.

Schuster Street
When the cops lose the armored car at the beginning of the episode, one of them calls in a report, saying they lost them at "3rd and Schuster." This is a reference to Joe Schuster, who created the character of Superman with Jerry Siegel in the late '30s. (Incidentally, they sold the rights to the character to their publisher in 1938 for $130). (edit) Toyman: Ashes! Ashes! We all fall down.
This comes from a children's rhyme known as "Ring around the Rosie" or "Ring-a-Ring o' Roses". (edit)
