Plan Voodoo

Episode Number: 193    Season Num: 13    First Aired: Thursday October 19, 2006    Prod Code: 1306
Originally aired: Thursday October 19, 2006 on CBS

As the Raro tribe returns from tribal council, Cristina is hurt by the harsh comments her tribemates made about her bossiness. She is upset that Adam called her "annoying" and that everyone seems to dislike her. The tribe has it out over the campfire.
Over at Aitu, Cao Boi continues to rub his tribe the wrong way. He wants to bring the immunity idol to the reward challenge, but the other Aitus believe it would be rude to Raro.
At the reward challenge, Jeff delivers the bad news: both tribes will have to vote someone out tonight. However, the winning tribe gets to enjoy a meal of lamb, bread, and cider. They will also get to watch the losing tribe's council.
For the challenge, each tribe has three people clinging to three different poles. The other tribe must use three pairs of people to pry their opponents off the poles and drag them to the starting mat. Raro's Parvati and Rebecca have trouble prying a resilient Candice off her pole, allowing Aitu to take a big lead. Aitu goes on to win.
Back at their respective camps, Aitu and Raro discuss who should be voted out. At Aitu, Cao Boi is worried that if all five Caucasians make it to the merge, they will take over the game. He wants to vote out one of them.
Cao Boi explains to Yul a bizarre dream he had about a shaman lady applying for credit cards. Somehow, the dream gives Cao Boi an idea for exposing the hidden immunity idol at tribal council. His plan is to have three people vote for Jonathan and three people vote for Candice. That way, Jonathan will be forced to play the hidden idol-- which Cao Boi believes he has-- while a Caucasian will still be sent home. Privately, Yul doesn't think the plan will work-- he knows Jonathan doesn't have the hidden idol, because Yul himself has it. Cao Boi, though, tries to rally the troops for his idea, which he calls "Plan Voodoo." The others are unsure of the idea, but they agree that they don't trust Jonathan.
Cao Boi's plan ultimately fizzles-- especially when he brings the immunity idol to tribal council, against the tribe's request-- and Cao Boi is voted out near unanimously (only Jessica sticks to Plan Voodoo and votes for Jonathan).
Raro comes in for its tribal council while Aitu takes seats across from them, eagerly digging in to their meal of lamb and cider. Jeff asks Raro if they're jealous about not participating in the feast. Adam says he isn't, but Nate admits that he is. The tribe talks about Cristina's reaction to their previous tribal council comments.
Before Raro votes, Jeff reveals that Aitu gets the right to "kidnap" one Raro member, allowing that person to join the lamb feast and excluding them from the vote. Aitu chooses Nate, who will stay with them until the next day.
Down a member, Raro votes, and Cristina takes the unsurprising 4-2 boot (though Brad throws a surprise vote at Jenny). In her final words, Cristina says that she met some good people and "some really awful people."
