The rules of this game are simple: average Americans are abandoned in the middle of some of the most unforgiving places on earth. Divided into teams, they participate in challenges and every three days, the losing tribe must trek to Tribal Council to vote out one of their own. Halfway through the game, the challenges shift to individual competitions when the tribes merge and become one. Now the game is every contestant for themselves.

The game is simple: Outwit, Outplay, Outlast, by winning immunity, thus not being eligible to have votes cast against yourself. However, the players must be careful about who they send packing - because after the merge, a jury of previously voted out contestants begins to form, and each week they return to watch the Tribal Council ceremony. At the end of the game, they vote for one of the members in the finals to win one million dollars and become the next Survivor!

Generally, each season begins with a twist - something different to surprise the new castaways. Survivor is a game of adaptation, and the final two or three of each season are the players most able to adapt to their surroundings and to the people they are playing with.   I decided to have a countdown of the best survivors by game. How? Well I put in a point system (yes, it took me weeks) thru seven areas (I got them from RNO): #1 Scheme & Plot (12pts)- make alliances, switch, forge relationships. Ex. Richard Hatch's Alliance #2 Control Scheming (10pts)- don't backstab early, be secret about alliances, don't form open couples. Ex. Sandra's spying on Jon and Burton #3 Be Flexible (8pts)- adapt to your surrounding, don't stick out, switch alliances if beneficial. Ex. Rob C working hard with the men, but relaxing when with Jenna & Heidi #4 Control Emotions (7pts)- vote with strategy, don't get distracted by feelings or morals. Ex. Tina voting out Mad Dog despite being friends #5 Be Nice (6pts)- being a jerk, annoying, or antisocial will set you apart from others and make you a target. While being nice will make it easier to be approached for an alliance. Ex. Elisabeth farther than Jerri and Amber #6 Don't be a threat (5pts)- whether it is to tribal sanity, losing tribal challenges, winning individual challenges. Ex. Todd telling Amanda & Courtney that Denise was too likable and would win. #7 Work hard around camp (2pts)- being lazy will get you eliminated. Ex. Lydia's hard work got her to the merge despite being weaker than others. So that gives us 272 personalities (28 all-stars, favorites, returners and 244 originals). Those who are not on the list because they were out too early and their edit was on game play were: Mike Skupin, Jenna Morasca (All-Stars), Sue Hawk (All-Stars), Gary Strikesky, Jon Dalton (Favorites). So lets get it started! 272. Kathy Sleckman, 13th Micronesia 19/19 Micronesia 10/10 Fans Yeah, crazy Kathy is the lowest Survivor. I cannot think of anything she did right. She did not scheme and put the annoying bull's eye on her after asking Chet's sexuality and Tracy's boobs (her own allies). She did not make a strong attempt to get out of the trio, and her emotions gave her extreme diarrhea of the mouth. 271. Chet Welch, 14th Micronesia 18/19 Micronesia 9/10 Fans Wow. Two fans at the bottom of the list. Chet holds the record for most votes cast pre merge. So he pretty much sucked. Why is he higher than Kathy? Well, he didn't blurt out stupid comments, and was only a target due to challenge performance. less «

  I like the emphasis on the warrior aspect. I was guessing New Zealand so I was reasonably close. Should be a fun season, hopefully without any injuries.

  I can think of other shows way better than this one!some of these people have nice paying jobs and they are getting stressed out about THIS experience? hide « show »

  I think that the contestants need to grow up. And if they can't say anything nice about each other then do say it to their face. Last few episodes ago, the 4th grade principle said that she can't take that kind of drama. My first thought was "what kind of school do you work at?" because i can not think of one school wether it is grade, middle, or high school that does not have its drama if not with the students themselves then with the parents. Like i said in the summary people have a good paying job so why are you in here if you don't like the people? You can go to your original work and get the people that annoy you and guess what you don't have to worry about getting some kind of a disease!! *is shocked*

  I just want to show these guys how to win survivor. hide « show »

  #1. stay under the radar and get along well with your peers in the beginning.
  #2. Before you get on the show train like a madman in stamina, strength training and brain teezers so that when its time to play for individual immunity you can win every time.
  #3. Make sure you are well liked through the entire process so that you ultimately win the million. Finally: Put me on the show this summer, I did a casting call in Nampa, Idaho. I guarantee I will win it all. I have 8 years of Military experience. I am fit and inteligent. I am likable and will raise your ratings.

  Survivor is a fantastic reality TV show, a show which I started by watching from the first ever episode. Some seasons, obviously, are better than others, but all I think are watchable. Survivor has included some classic characters such as Rupert, Yul, Richard Hatch and more. Survivor is a stragetic game - you never know who to trust and you never know whether you are completely safe or not - unless, of course, you have immunity, then you're fine! Everyone works to get a spot in the final 2 (or 3), and the jury of previously voted out members (usually about 7 or 8) vote for the winner, and the winner is based either on the ones who didn't betray their alliance, or on the way the played the game. Survivor is the first reality TV show I fell in love with, I've seen every season, and I love this show, and it's definately one of my top ten favourite shows.

  I love Survivor when it first started. Now, I don't know, is it just me or do they seem to spoil them too much now. I mean they are no longer 'STARVING', or starting with absolutly nothing. Remeber season 1, those people started with ZILCH. No food, no water, no fire, no machette, just the clothes on their back. Now..........well hell, just give them a key to a hut. Come on, get back to basics. I still love the show, and I will continue to watch it, but I do miss how it was originally. Though I guess everything gets changed. Oh well, happy watching

  There is an extreme outside chance that if they set this show in a seriously tough location like say, the high arctic, that there might be some merit to its titular claim and its spin about "abandoning" ordinary "Joe's" to the world's harshest conditions.
  It strikes me that these ordinary "Joe's" come from the same place as "Joe the Plumber", and are about as real.
  I might, though its not likely, tune into a show that forced participants to work together for the survival of the whole; where in the end instead of money they got...oh, I don't know...to live??!! You know, kind of like...what do we call it? Oh yah..."reality"!
