Natalie has been called undeserving and thats incredibly unfortunate. Flying under the radar IS A LEGITIMATE STRATEGY. There is no rule against it, and it was the best move for her. Natalie knew that being an agressive player like Russel would have got her voted out. In fact, female players do best when they play passively, agressive women in this season included Marisa, Betsy, Liz, Laura, and Monica. All four were eliminated because Russell found them threatening. Natalie understood this and ADAPTED by satying loyal. The key to survival is adaptation and Natalie did that. Natalie understood how this jury worked, Russell did not, and Natalie made sure she had good enough relationships to get her to win. Social game > strategic game. It doesn't matter how many people you blindside, if you can't win a majority of the votes then you can't win. Russel may have swayed the majority multiple times, BUT he oculdn't do it the most important time, and thats why he lost. Russell was condesceding, rude, and excessively annoying. You can't expect a jury who lived with you to want to give you that money. If Russell had treated them better than he would have won, but he didn't, and that was his flaw. And if he was the best he would not have brought Natalie and Mick to the finals, Russell miscalculated, while the "dumb blonde" knew what she was doing. Furthermore Russell did not take part in every elimination: Russell effectively eliminated (Marisa, Liz, John, Jaison) Group Consensus (Betsy, Ashley, Dave, Monica, Brett) Jaison eliminates (Ben, Shambo) Natalie eliminates (Erik) Shambo eliminates (Kelly, Laura) Russell may have made more moves than Natalie, but quality beats quantity. Russell turned his tribe against each other which made them lose challenge after challenge! What kind of strategic MASTERMIND does that? Exactly, no one. Russell played a phenomenal game, no doubt, but did he play the best? Absolutely not. He made bad moves by eliminating jury goats while also pissing off the jury. Whether you like it or not, the jury was part of the game. Natalie knew this, she made the right bonds, used a shield to protect herself, and got the votes at the end. POINT OF THE GAME IS NOT TO BLINDSIDE, BUT TO WIN THE JURY. Who did that? Natalie. less
