Sydney made her first entrance in the world of acting when she accidentally stole away her father's act on the stage and sang "My Little Pony." After that, Sydney appeared in a few TV commercials, and after many years, she landed her first role on an mini-series "Thorn Birds" for which she received critical acclaim. In 1991, Sydney landed her first role in a soap opera, "Santa Barbara," and that's when Sydney became famous. After "Santa Barbara" ended, Sydney went to star in ABC's "All My Children" which is probably the best role Sydney ever had. Sydney got married in 1995 to Robert Powers. After leaving "AMC," Sydney starred in a few TV movies and a TV series "Hyperion Bay," later she replaced Susan Ward temporarily as Meg Cummings in NBC's soap "Sunset Beach." After returning to "AMC" for a short period, Sydney went on to star in "The Bold and the Beautiful" for 3 years, only to return back to "All My Children" in 2005. She was fired from the show in 2008 and her character was killed off.
