tales of the neverending story was a 45minute tv show adaption based on the classic books by michael ende. hide « show »

this show was so sweet, i watched this when i was 14 in 2002 when it aired late october on the disney channel, i luved everything about it, the red-headed canadian based mark rendell to the bookshop i forget how to spell the name.. the fanastic costumes and settings make this show so easily drawn to. i loved how it wud flash between wat was happening in fanatashia and at bastians skool.. i loved the 4th episode, i carnt rememba much of it but atreyu and fly girl kill these serpent dragons things in the snow and bastian is workin on a project on flying.. i\'ve forgotten lots of the show i mite hav 2 buy the dvd set i think..

You could tell right from the start that tonight’s episode was going to be a good one. In the previous cliff-hanger we were left with a fatal car crash, not knowing anything else about the accident besides the fact that it happened. Tonight’s story opens with Alf in a dark hospital waiting room. In the background two nurses are talking. One says "he hasn't said a word since he found out". The other replies: "Some people need time... she's only been dead for 2 hours".

We bought the series by mistake thinking it was the original movie, but we found this series to be the best entertainment in a long time! My 2 year old daughter, myself and husband and mother in law all loved this highly engaging story that mixed fantasy hide « show »

This series was so adventurous and well written that we couldn't help but fall in love with it. The casting was excellent and the costumes and scenery were very imaginative and breathtaking. I can't believe we did not see this tv series before now. My daughter really liked the colors and special effects as well as the flying dragon. My mother in law also really enjoyed the series. It kept her entertained and awake, while other shows lull her to sleep. My husband, who is hard to please, enjoyed all the excitement, wide range of characters, good versus evil, and those constant "on the edge of your seat" moments where none of us could predict what would happen next. I am addicted and want more, more, more!

this story 's title says it all its a neverending story. hide « show »

i didnt watch this show on tv, i got 2 of the 4 dvd's on sale here in the netherlands and i bought them because i already watched both first movies.(i idnt see the third with Jason James Richter as Bastian )
After viewing the first 2 parts i was totally fascinated with how the story would end so i went and bought the other parts.
There is a part where we see bastian and then there is the world where Atreyu and hisfriends live. After watching the movies it was a bit disapointing to see such a new actor portray bastian. But he played really well but i watch Barret Oliver and Jonathan Brandis play the same part and i still think jonathan played the role the best.May he rest in peace .
    Date of death (details)
    12 November 2003
    Los Angeles, California, USA. (suicide)
I may not forget the great acting done by Tyler Hynes who played the great warrior Atreyu.
