(warning: possible spoilers!)

The Titans are back at the Tower in the T-Jet when Robin says they have one last mission. The Brotherhood is going after young heroes and the Titans need to split up to contact the rest and give them communicators. They separate and go on their separate missions, unaware that the Brain is using the captured communicator to monitor their progress and begin the end-game.
Beast Boy ascends a mountain to contact Jericho, while Starfire approaches a dam where Argent is repairing a leaking dam with her solid-light constructs. Starfire gives her a communicator while Beast Boy heads for the top. Robin contacts Bushido, who is fighting a group of ninja. Robin warns him against the last one and then helps him when more reappear. Cyborg goes to a wrestling arena where Pantha is battling. She grabs Cyborg, thinking he’s a wrestler, and they fight for a while. She’s a friend of the captured Wildebeest and leaves her with a communicator. In another dimension, Raven looks for Herald and fights some extra-dimensional jellyfish. Herald comes to her aid when they are proof against her powers. Beast Boy finally gets to the top of a tower and meets with Jericho.
Robin heads back and initiates a test of the communications network, contacting all the members while Brain taps in thanks to a communicator hooked directly into his braincase. Immortus and his soldiers attack Argent at the dam while the other Titans head back, and Robin gets word of the attack. Robin sends Starfire to help Argent but other emergency calls come in.
Mas Y Menos fight Johnny Rancid. Trident and Plasmus battle Aqualad. Bumblebee battles two flying villains. Gnarrk and Kole fight Gizmo and Billy Numerous. Mammoth intercepts Cyborg in the Arctic. Raven comes to help Bumblebee and fights Psimon and Kyd Wykyyd. Cardiac intercepts Beast Boy over the ocean on his way to Aqualad. Starfire arrives to find Argent defeated and Kitten and Killer Moth engage her in battle. Robin sends Tramp to help Aqualad but he’s intercepted by a growing villain. Bushido fights Katarou while Speedy takes on Cheshire and loses. Pantha fights Adonis while Jericho ducks two villains and Herald battles Warp and See-More. Kilowatt fights Control Freak and the Puppet King while Lightning and Thunder battle two more giant villains.
Robin is left trying to coordinate efforts when Hotspot arrives, but “he” reveals that he is Madame Rogue. She attacks and reveals that Brain is tapped into the communicators. Robin slows her down long enough to warn the others, then rigs his communicator to explode, damaging the Brain and destroying the rest. The Brain assures Mallah that they no longer need the communicators to monitor the Titans.
While many of the Titans have proved triumphant in their individual battles, Rogue brings Robin back to the Brotherhood’s lair where he, Aqualad, Speedy, Argent, and Menos are all added to the villains’ “collection.”

The Titans all over the world are attacked by The Brain and his Brotherhood of Evil. hide show

Well, well, well. This was an excellent episode. Granted, the only thing that happens are that the Titans all over the world are attacked and most are then captured by the Brotherhood of Evil. So it's all set-up, but that's how it usually is with these type of episodes. It's only mission besides to entertain you, is to make things really interesting, leaving you waiting for the follow up. I loved this episode for the action, but even more I enjoyed the new heroes, Argent being my favorite of the heroes introduced.

We get another cool fight between Robin and Madame Rouge, it's almost as awesome as the one in "Trust". We get to see almost all of the heroes and villains who have previously appeared on the show, those we don't see appear in the next episode with a few exceptions. This Brotherhood of Evil may not have been up to the level of the Trigon arc, but this episode and the next makes it all worthwhile.

The Titans split up to warn other young heroes around the world about the Brotherhood of Evil. However, one by one these heroes (including the Titans) are picked off by the Brotherhood. With Robin now captured, can the other survivors rise up? hide show

This episode was really great! It had action, adventure and suspense! This is an awesome way to bring an end to Season 5. What I liked about this episode is that we see new Titans like Argent, the Herald, Pantha, Killowat, Bushido, and Jericho. However, I wish the writers had changed Pantha's character a bit and didn't make her a wrestler. What was also cool was that we got to see some other Titans like Thunder and Lightning, Titans East, Tramm, and Melvin, Timmy, and Teether. I loved the way the writers incorporated all the Titans in this episode and how it seems like the Titans' final battle. What I liked about this episode was that we also get to see some new villains like Cheshire, Angel, Psimon, XL Terrestrial and Punk Rocket. We also get to see old villains like Gizmo, Billy, Mammoth, Kid Wykkyd, Kardiak, Kitten, Cinderblock, Katarou, Control Freak, Atlas, the Puppet King, and obviously the Brotherhood of Evil. The way the Brotherhood planned their attack was brilliant so that the Titans couldn't help each other. I loved how new and old villains and new and old heroes were put in this episode, even if they had a cameo. The slight cliffhanger at the end left me wanting to watch more.

This episode would have been better if..... hide show

Terra was in it!!! Why couldn't she have been revived 2 episodes before Things Change? It would be a better episode if Terra was back, and fighting! That way, I could give this episode a full 10 without hesitation! Everything else is great though! It just needs Terra, the missing link. Heck, they could have gotten rid of Things Change and the episode after this would be a GREAT season finale! Titans Together has a very good ending! All I want is Terra, is that much to ask for?

How can you not like this episode. hide show

I thought this episode was so cool. The titans are spread accross the globe and the broterhood of evil are slowly taking them down one by one because of the brains plan.

I liked how they showed all different Titans, some of which havent been shown before. The action was exciting but was kinda sad to see that the Titans were losing. This episode is one of the best in season 5 and one of the top episodes of the entire show.

In this perfect episode the Brain and his team of evil took out half of the titans as they went on strike. The titans had to rush to increase the amount of team members to stop the evil brotherhood. Soon the war of good and evil spread around the world. hide show

This was the perfect episode and it couldn't get a bit better. I loved the cliff hanger. I couldn't wait to see the next episode. This episode was amazing and probably the best episode in the show. It didn't lack in anything. It had great action, an interesting plot. Ut also had some good scenes with different titans. I loved all the different villains and heroes matching up against each other around the world. This is a perfect episode that any Teen Titans fan would love to watch over and over again. It is definetly one of the best episodes in the show.

Episode Cast and Crew

View All
  • Robin gave the communicator to Madame Rouge and she showed it to him. How could she do that when the Brain was using it to track down Titans? []
  • When Starfire is flying the T-Ship, her left glove was gone for a moment, then it came back again. []
  • In "Spellbound," the entire team (minus Raven) couldn't defeat Kardiak. Now Beast Boy can defeat him alone?

Response: It was noticed in the episode "The Beast Within" how Beast Boy can adapt to fighting quickly, as seen in the first battle, the Titans knocked him out, but in the second battle, he dodged every attack thrown at him and defeated the Titans. Another reason could be, he was threatened and cornered, his animal instincts probably kicking his fighting skills up a notch allowing him to defeat Kardiac single-handedly, and if you'll notice he turned into a squid when he took him on and probably constricted him to unconsciousness or his fighting skills just simply improved. []
More Trivia
  • This is the second episode that Madame Rouge shapedshifted into Hotspot. []
  • Thunder and Lightning make their first appearance since season 1. They are the only Honorary Titans to be gone for so long. []
  • Killowatt is the only male Titan (besides Beast boy in animal form) who has the ability to fly. []
More Notes
  • Robin: Calling all Titans, this is a test of our communications system. Is everyone ready?
Kole: We're ready in the north.
    Gnarrk: Gnarrk!
    Pantha: And in the south.
    Mas: Estamos en el oeste.
(Mas Y Menos run to Titans East Tower)
    Menos: Y el este! []
  • Beast Boy: I told Robin we shouldn't separate, but he sent me up here and I just climbed up this big mountain and so here's your stupid communicator, and if bad guys come, you know what to do. (Passes out on the ground) []
  • Beast Boy: Great idea, Robin, giving communicators to everyone. Could this Jericho guy live any farther away? []
More Quotes
  • Kitten With a Whip: Reference
This is an allusion mostly from the movie, Catwoman. []
  • Game of Chess: King and Queen
While picking off each Titan, a white chess piece is knocked off. All the black pieces surround the white king. The black pieces represent the Brotherhood of Evil and the king most likely represents Robin, as he is the leader and the last to be attacked. When Starfire is attacked second to last (Robin being last), the queen is knocked off. King and Queen? Possible Robin/Starfire pairing symbolism. []
  • Kilowatt: Appearance
Kilowatt's blue skin and thunder streaks resemble classic Japanese superhero Inazuman. []
