Temperatures Rising was a medical sitcom set in Washington, D.C. During its first season, the staff was headed by Dr. Vincent Campanelli.

In its second season, the show was retitled The New Temperatures Rising with a different cast. This time the staff was headed by Dr. Paul Mercy, who bought the hospital and cut costs.

ABC cut the show after just two seasons.

The show started out with Whitmore playing the deadpan straightman for Little. hide « show »

Although I always enjoyed Paul Lynde, this was one program that he RUINED. James Whitmore playing the straightman to Cleavon Little's barbs was priceless, but I guess when Whitmore left and Lynde came in, HE was going to be the funnyman. Bad Move. Nancy Fox was so CUTE, never forget her.
