Face: Replace the button on the collar with one from the kit.
Amy: Bringing me along to sew, how wonderfully sexist.
Face: Well, we each do what we have to do, if you think you can pick these three locks in ten minutes then eh... (edit) B.A.: All right Hannibal how do we shut these guys down? I mean these guys are S.W.A.T. trained in special weapons and tactics. That's our bag. It's gonna be like going up against ourselves.
Hannibal: Exciting, isn't it? (edit) Murdock: Book 'em Dano, murder one. (edit) B.A.: Man, I don't know why you had to go and send them that warning, Hannibal.
Hannibal: B.A., that is what is called "style".
B.A.: I call it "dumb". You don't go kick the snake you're tryin' to sneak up on.
Hannibal:: Part of my plan. (edit) B.A.: All right, Hannibal, how do we shut these guys down? They're S.W.A.T.-trained; that's special weapons and tactics. That's our bag. It's gonna be like going up against ourselves.

After Hannibal says, "Depends upon how fast B.A. gets us there," the A-Team van is shown speeding down Santa Monica Boulevard (the big red phone number for L.A. Security Storage is visible just before the blackout to go to commercial).
(edit)
In the back room where Maloney meets Hannibal, Face, and B.A., there is a flyer for one of the Joe Louis-Billy Conn fights. In 1941 and 1946, Louis retained his heavyweight title in knockout wins against Conn; their last meeting, in 1948, was for a public exhibition in Chicago.

Don't you think it's odd that the four cops were in just one cop car? Definitely not standard procedure.

Murdock: Book 'em, Danno. Murder one.
As Detective Steve McGarrett, Jack Lord uttered these words many times to James McArthur, who played Detective Danny Williams on the CBS police drama Hawaii Five-O. The series ran for twelve seasons from 1968 to 1980. (edit) Murdock: I'm not even supposed to sing, but Chiquita Banana got hung up at Valley Presbyterian.
The singing mascot for Chiquita Bananas debuted in 1944. (edit) Murdock: (singing)
Did you ever see a hearse go by
and think that someday you'd surely die?
They put you in a little box
and cover you over with dirt and rocks.
This is one of many versions of "The Hearse Song," a folk song that dates back to World War One or earlier. (edit) Meadows: So, instead of going to the chief, he hires the Seven Samurai.
Seven Samurai is a 1954 Kurosawa film, widely considered one of the greatest movies ever made. (edit) Face: I'm Captain Roy McEvedy. Lieutenant Harv Esterhaus [Murdock] and Sergeant Smith [Hannibal].
Murdock's alias is a nod to another NBC crime show, Hill Street Blues, which included series character Phil Esterhaus and guest character Mr. Harv. (edit)
