B.A. is wounded and needs blood; and at the same time the local town is about to be under attack by a biker gang to free their leader. Hannibal and the team build a trap to snare the bad guys. Team work is key in this episode. hide show

They also are the pretty smart and manage to escape in the nick of time. This is one of my personal favorite episodes of this series; it has some of the best lines in the episode (fried barbaians) seems interesting to me. Murdock is very funny in this episode and in every episodes; actully they all are.

Episode Cast and Crew

View All
  • This episode is strikingly similar to an episode of Knight Rider that aired some months before this one, which was similarly titled "Good Day at White Rock". Both episodes deal with our protagonists visiting small towns (Bad Rock here and White Rock in Knight Rider), which are both invaded by motorcycle gangs. Both protagonists then save the day by getting rid of their respective motorcycle gangs. Also, in both episodes, the towns' officers initially think the protagonists are up to no good, but then eventually help them get rid of the motorcycle gangs later on. []
  • Just before the first commercial break, the biker gang speeds out of a restaurant parking lot. Ten minutes later, they roar into a restaurant parking lot, where the A-Team spots them. It's the same restaurant. (The Chevron station in the background is a dead giveaway).

This diner, Castaic Junction Restaurant, located at the junction of US 99 and SR 126, used to be Tip's Restaurant, where James Dean ate shortly before his fatal crash on September 30, 1955. []
  • Hannibal: B.A., he's the only donor we have, unless we're gonna get you into Cedars-Sinai.

Cedars-Sinai is a nonprofit hospital in L.A., the largest in the western U.S. []
More Trivia
  • This episode marks the first of two unrelated appearances by William Frankfather. In this episode, he appears as Neil Sullivan. Later, he will be seen as the man at the water pumping station in Water, Water Everywhere. []
  • This is the only episode in which Amy, Face, and Murdoch all drive the A-Team van. (B.A. is injured.) []
  • This is the viewers' first glimpse of the Team's ability to build anything from nearly nothing. Turning the abandoned real estate office into a makeshift (and booby-trapped) sheriff's office gives credibility to those odd things the Team will build in future episodes. []
  • Face: Murdock's blood might add a little color to your life.
B.A.: Don't need no color, got enough already. []
  • (After Hannibal kisses her)
Maggie: Ah, that supposed to be some sorta macho pass and now I'm supposed to blush, right?
(Hannibal kisses her again, this time she responds)
    Hannibal: I don't make passes. []
  • Prisoner: You're gonna pay for this, man!
Hannibal: I'll cut you a check when I go to the bank, man! []
More Quotes
  • Murdock: Say, do any of you creeps know the way to San Jose?

In 1968, Dionne Warwick recorded "Do You Know the Way to San Jose" by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. []
  • Murdock lets out a Tarzan yell while hauling the motorcycles into the air with the crane. []
  • Murdock: (singing)
    You in the army now.
    You not behind the plow.
    You never get rich
    by diggin' a ditch.
    You in the army now.

Originally penned as "We're in the Army Now," with lyrics by Tell Taylor & Ole Olsen and music by Isham Jones, this song dates back to 1917 (World War One). []
