When Face and Hannibal start singing "Moon over Miami," they are standing in front of a sign announcing the opening of the "Sunset Bay Towers." The building was constructed in Long Beach, California, in 1984; it is now known as the Ocean Club. edit »
The final battle with the bad guys was shot at Long Beach; the towers in the background (across the water) are camouflaged oil rigs on Island Grissom, named for astronaut Virgil Grissom, who died during a preflight test for the Apollo 1 mission on January 27, 1967, along with astronauts Edward White and Roger Chaffee. edit »
While the story takes place in Miami, it was (of course) shot in and around Los Angeles, including Marina del Rey. The Marina Towers, located at 4640 Admiralty Way, are visible in the background while Joey Epic has his meeting at the (fictional) Farsider Inn. edit »
Goof: The story is set in Miami; however, in one of the opening shots in the episode, there is a street sign for "Las Olas Blvd.," which is in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, not Miami. edit »

A popular jazz song, "Moon over Miami" was written in 1935 by Joe Burke and Edgar Leslie and recorded by several artists the following year. It was also the inspiration for a 1941 movie musical starring Don Ameche and Betty Grable, and a short-lived TV series in 1993. edit »
