As Hannibal and Murdock's fake Harbor Patrol boat approaches the stern of Turian's Sundowner, the twin buildings of the Marina Towers can be seen in the background; they are located at 4640 (North Tower) and 4676 (South Tower) Admiralty Way in Marina Del Rey. edit »
As Hannibal and Murdock start after the yacht Sundowner in their fake Harbor Patrol boat, they pass by two high-rise buildings with curved fronts. These are two of the three buildings that make up the Marina City Club, a condo complex built in 1970 and located at 4333 Admiralty Way in Marina Del Rey. edit »

The limo nearly hits a pedestrian running across the street behind a white two-door coupe. Markie Post is credited as a "Special Guest Star." At the time, she was best known for her role as Terri Michaels in ABC's The Fall Guy, which was in its last season, but Post was already doing double duty; in January, she had begun playing Christine Sullivan in NBC's Night Court. edit »

Murdock: Faceman! I wouldn't call 'em phony. Highly imaginative, the work of a genius, but not phony. I'm thinking about coming out with a whole new line.

Murdock is doing here a vocal impression of Cary Grant, who made his feature film debut in the 1932 film This Is the Night. Grant appeared in more than seventy movies in the next 34 years, including four Hitchcock films (such as To Catch a Thief) and numerous screwball comedies (such as The Awful Truth). edit »
Murdock: You better come up with a plan lickety-split, Colonel. Otherwise, our Faceman's going to be doing flip-ups with Charlie Tuna.

Murdock is referring to the StarKist Tuna mascot, whose correct name is "Charlie the Tuna." He was created by Tom Rogers of the Leo Burnett Agency in 1961. "Charlie Tuna" is the on-air name of radio personality Art Ferguson, who has been working in Los Angeles since 1967. edit »

Murdock: Yeah. And when we huff and puff, you better hold on to your socks.

The Big Bad Wolf was the villain in the fairy tale "The Three Little Pigs," which was first published in the 18th century; however, the story is probably much older. It has appeared in many forms over the years, including a 1933 animated short film version from Disney, featuring the song "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?"

In most traditional versions, the wolf threatens each of the three little pigs with the phrase, "I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house in." He succeeds with the house built of straw and the house made of sticks. However, he cannot blow down the third pig's house, which is built with bricks. edit »
