The scene that follows the first big fight with Denham's thugs (it begins with B.A. hauling off two men in a wheelbarrow and ends with Face dusting off his suit) is filmed in one long (uncut) shot lasting 75 seconds. (edit) This episode marks one of four appearances by Michael Alldredge. He also appears in The Bells of St. Mary's, Recipe For Heavy Bread, and West Coast Turnaround. (edit) This episode marks the second of two unrelated appearances by Carol Baxter. In this episode, she appears as Nurse Beth Billings. Earlier, she appeared as a nurse in A Small and Deadly War. Hannibal: Yeah, well the poor suckers haven't got a chance. (edit) Denham: I know every man on this crew, Jack. Who are you?
Hannibal: I'm the wicked warlock of the north, and when I come down on you there won't be anything left except a smear of grease. (edit) Tommy: You don't know who you're messin' with here.
Hannibal: Oh, yeah I do. You're the king cockroach around here. Now, we can do this the hard way or the easy way. In about a minute, I and my three friends are going to unleash on you your worst nightmare. You're gonna wish the earth opened up underneath your feet and swallowed you whole.
Tommy: What's the easy way?
Hannibal: Oh, that was the easy way. (edit)

Mickey's construction site appears to be located at 328 East 1st Street in Los Angeles, now the site of the Miyako Hotel. (edit) When the bad guys' car overturns during the chase, it lands just about where Floyd Street turns into Valpreda Street in Burbank. Several local companies can be seen in the background, including James G. Boone Co. (2090 Floyd St.) and Cal-Leaf Health Products (1840 Valpreda St.). This same section of street appears earlier in the chase as well. (edit) As the bad guys are chasing Hannibal (who is driving the catering truck), they pass by Cal-Leaf Health Products, which is still in the same location today: 1840 Valpreda St., Burbank. Murdock: Beware the dogs of war!

This is an allusion to Mark Antony's speech from Act III, scene 1 of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar: "Cry 'Havoc,' and let slip the dogs of war."
(edit) Hannibal: I'm the Wicked Warlock of the North.

In The Wizard of Oz movie, Glinda is the "Good Witch of the North." Hannibal twists this title slightly -- "warlock" is sometimes used to refer to a male witch, and in the eyes of the bad guys, he probably would seem more "wicked" than "good." (edit) This episode sees the title sequence featuring the Cylon from Battlestar Galatica (as well being in this episode) for the first time. An in-joke to Dirk Benedict's association with that series, he was the original Starbuck. (edit)
