Deck Poops: The Pack Rats who steal the Beavers' dam are based on "The Rat Pack", a famous group of entertainers from the 1950's and 60's. Rikki the Vermin, the bigger, white-haired rate is based on Frank Sinatra; Manicoti, the red-nosed rat always seen with a 'drink' is based on Dean Martin; and Ratatat, the darker-coloured rat in the pink shirt is based on Sammy Davis, Jr.
