By definintion, "Apprentice" means "works for an expert to learn a trade"
As Dawna's "prize", she is going to be working at the magazine "Body and Soul". Seems to me that she's already an expert in that field being the publisher of her own award winning, nation wide, magazine. Given that her own magazine is about sports, and more than likely already contains "health' information too, I doubt very much that she has anything to learn from being placed with the "Body and Soul" magazine. She's supposed to be apprenticing....and that should involve all aspects of the company, not one area where she's already an expert. It seems to me that all she got out of this was a car and a hefty salary doing a job that she already does on her own magazine. So it looks like MS was just ooking for an employee and NOT an apprentice. |

Yeah, that dream prize was kind of lame. What would they have given Bethany if she would have won? A job at a restaurant making holistic food? And to me it's like one of those jobs with a fancy title, but I doubt Dawna will really be doing any real work, or making any 'real' decisions. They already have a publisher and an editor for the magazine. I can't remember Dawna's exact title, but it was so lame.
She was probably making more money doing her own magazine, which I don't get. Why would you want a job with Martha if you already have a successful, career? Why don't they get candidates that have nothing, and see what they can do with them. I'm sure Dawna doesn't need the money, did you see the boat she was driving??? It all seems a little silly really. Oh well, the whole thing was a bit lackluster, but I still watched anyway. Marie |

I believe she is "managing director of marketing"... which is essentially advertising the magazine.
A pretty girl to meet the public and sponsors and sell the merits of the magazine. |
