They spend a lot of time rehearsing and they also spend a lot of time listening to Ashlee's dad Joe, telling them how important this is for them. When the final dress rehearsal comes around, Ashlee has nagging problems with her earpiece and Joe thinks the guitar solo doesn't sound right. But the show must go on, and Ashlee and her band prove to everyone who doubts them, that they belong here.
