Mrs. Peel: (Dressed in 18th century costume) You should see me 400 years from now.

The opening teaser for this episode: Mrs. Peel is clearly preparing for a night out. On the mantle piece there is an invitation. It says, ’ Invitation to a Grand Hunt Ball. We request the pleasure of the company of Mrs. Peel.’ When she picks it up to re-read it, Steed takes it from her and turns it over. On the back it says, ’we’re needed.’
(edit) The tag line used at the end of opening credits: ' Steed visits the barber and Emma has a close shave.' (edit) Tag: A trail of arrows printed on the floor of her apartment leads Emma to Steed, who is there to take her to a party. Outside they find a veteran taxi, which Steed cranks into action before, black faced from the exhaust, he joins his partner to depart in style. (edit)

Note the name of the barber shop as the blind in drawn: Sweeney. This is a reference to the infamous, fictional barber/ murder.
