1. An ideal for a new series | 08/01/2007 11:46am

I got an ideal for a new beverly hillbillies series. In this series the hillbillies only pretend to be stupid around people.

but they re not really. and they live in what appears to be a shack and poor ect. but in the basement down in the

ground they live in luxluy with a hottub and in a mansion all the luxluys of life. they only pretend to be poor and

stupid so people won't bother them ect. Would That make GOOD series??? WOULDN't THat be funny?? for today???

Why don't you contact TV Land with your idea and see if they'd be interested? They're always coming up with new series. It can't hurt to try.

The Beverly Hillbillies Cops

The Hillbillies become crimefighters using their hidden talents to

combat gangs, crooks and other crims in a city short of police staff.

The judge could sentence the bad guys to eat Granny's and Ellie May's cooking. Instead of using guns or billy clubs, their weapon of choice could be Ellie May's donuts.

And they could use Elly's lady fingers as bullets.

Eating Elly May's cooking could be the worst punishment for many.

The ACLU would raise a furor over it, as "cruel and unusual punishment". It would be a topic of debate on "The O'Reilly Factor".

Ellie May could write a cookbook. She could call it "Buns Of Steel".

Nothing could replace the Beverly Hillbillies. I did not like the idea very much.

Hey maybe my idea could be another show altogeter not a replacement just a show about hillbillies.

I noticed ever since All in the family came they don't make shows like this any more. Most comedy shows are about

policts sex or drugs or something WHY can't they make a show like these old shows that are just FUNNY for escapism.

Maybe they do on Disney channel or Nick? all the shows on disney or nick seem to be aimed at pre teens them seem so childish EVEN Lizzie McGuire seemed more mature than some that's on now. Why does all the shows on the networks now have to be political correct? The Beverly Hillbillies was not was it?? Maybe because they think no one will watch them?

Personally, I'd like to see the show remade today. Jeff Foxworthy as Jed, Mila Kunis as Elly Mae and maybe unknowns as Jethro and Granny, although Ashton Kutcher be perfect for Jethro!

That could work. Kelso as Jethro.

I could see an unknown as Elly. Someone once said they could see Jessica Simpson as Elly. I would not want that. Elly was a stunning beauty. Jessica is pretty, but not Elly May beautiful. (Besides, Jessica can't act)
