(Jethro wants to keep Marie, the Drysdales’ attractive maid he grabbed during the feud, but Granny won’t let him)
Granny: Jethro, put her down! They got one of our men folks; we’re gonna take one of their men folks!
Jethro: How bout we take her along as kinda an extra?
Granny: No! Not unless they captured one of our women folks!
Jethro: Elly May, you go in there and surrender! (edit) (In jail, Jed is being questioned by two Psychiatrists)
Jed: I keep a’tellin’ ya and a’tellin’ ya, I got twenty-five million dollars in Mr. Drysdales’ bank!
Psychiatrist 1: No you didn’t. They caught you before you got a penny. (edit) (Jethro has once again picked up Marie, the Drysdale’s maid, to keep her)
Jethro: Aw, listen Granny, I heard you and Uncle Jed talkin’ about what to get me for Christmas. This here will save ya shoppin’.
Jed: You can’t take her home for Christmas! Now put her down.
(Jethro puts Marie down, looking disappointed)
Jed: One of these days, I got to have a long talk with this boy. (edit)
