Trivia

At their own mansion, the Clampetts do not know what the doorbell is. Whenever it rings, they cannot figure out what it actually is or where the sound is coming from. But when they go calling in this episode, they ring the doorbell at the first house and it makes a sound, much like their own. Why do they not know what it is at there place, but can figure it out at other places? (edit)
Elly says how she is playing football in this episode. But in a later episode, when Jethro is trying to impress Drysdale's new maid, the Clampetts learn what football is. But with Elly playing, they must have known before. So how did they forget? (edit)
In this episode, Granny doesn't know who Mary Pickford is. But in later episodes, Mary is her, or one of her, favorite actress(es). (edit)
According to Granny, Jed can't write letters, or write in general. And that means he also can't read. But in later episodes, Jed knows how to do both, along with the rest of the family. Did they get tutoring or did the writers decide to make them all literate? (edit)
