The cast appeared in a commercial for The Great American Bake Sale during this episode's broadcast. The cast of George Lopez and Hope & Faith also did similar promos, and even had sub-plots based on the bake sale. Last year the cast of 8 Simple Rules did an episode around this plot and a promo.

Kevin Hart revealed in an interview with Vibe that Jomarie Payton had no idea who he was when she walked onthe the set. She had never heard of him.
