The Big Valley is on the Encore Westerns schedule beginning January 2006. It's on daily at 11 a.m. (ET) and also weekdays at 7 p.m. (ET).
The shows are commercial free and the quality of transfer is excellent.

Of course, you have to have Encore Westerns, which is included in many DishNetwork and DirecTV packages, as well as most digital cable systems.

Does anyone know why on the 12 hour marathon shown on New Years Day, the Encore Westerns channel kept running commercials between episodes bragging that they were going to show all 109 episodes starting the next day. TV.com says that there is 112 episodes. 30 each in seasons 1&2, and 26 each in seasons 3&4, for 112. They also list them all. Which 3 are lost or whatever?

According to my records there were 110 "episode titles" --- two of which were two-parters ("Explosion" and "Legend of a General"), which is the reason for the episode total of 112. But that still leaves Encore one short. Maybe they miscounted?

I agree with you on your total of 110 episodes, 2 of which being 2-parters. But that still comes out to 112 1 hour shows. You wouldn't think they would make such a mistake as that. Maybe they won't show 1 (or 3) of the episodes for some reason or other, who knows. I guess we'll find out. At 5 a week, it'll take 22 weeks or so to show them all, then we will know.

So far so good, they are going in order. Up to episode #23, I haven't watched todays yet. In the mornings they are playing pretty much yesterdays episode, but they have thrown in a few season 2 shows so maybe they won't play those when they get to them in order. I'm still curious about the discrepancy in episode total, but I'm watching!!!!!!!

Well 2 seasons down, and 2 to go. And so far so good! They have already shown several episodes from season 3, including part 1 of "Explosion". But they did that early on with some season 2 episodes, and still played them in order. I still wonder where they got 109 episodes? -Dan

Unfortunately I don't get Encore (we have the family package) that doesn't include Hallmark (wish it did). I wish Family Channel or TV-land would put it on.

We are halfway through season #4, and all episodes line up with tv.com. It appears that the Encore Westerns channel made a mistake back in January, when they said it would show all 109 episodes. There are actually 112.

I don't get Encore but did buy the 1st season on DVD. Does anyone know when the rest of the seasons will be released?

I haven't heard anything yet but I would think if you checked different websites of the actors (there is one for Lee Majors, Peter Breck) they would have it mentioned somewhere.

http://www.leemajors.co.uk/Docs/Merch.html   This link will bring you to a page at the Unofficial website for Lee Majors.

This is a great show! I never gave it my full attention when it was originally released in the late sixties. I just thought it was more or  less a Bonanza look-a-like; but now that the show is airing on the Encore Western channel every night, I have developed a real   appreciation for it. I am a huge fan of westerns and this one has become one of my favorites.  The story lines are top-notch, not the usual cliched western plotlines, and of course, Linda Evans as Audra never looked lovelier!

In the 60s, 70s and 80s all four seasons of the Big Valley had different opening credits. Now Seasons 1 and 2 have the Season 1 opening credits and Seasons 3 and 4 have the Season 3 opening credits. Can you confirm the above? A friend of mine won't believe me. All the Best

    Colin Australia.
