This episode's title shares a name, to be exact, of an episode of Gunsmoke which qriginally aired on May 18, 1963. "The Odyssey of Jubal Tanner". Also the title's character of Gunsmoke's Jubal Tanner was portrayed by Peter Breck (Nick Barkley).
