if you could bring back any of the old TB characters who would they be and why?

    I would bring back

Sam Harker - he was sweet, kind and cute

Ben Hayward - same reason as Sam

Matt Boyden - coz he was stubborn, and could be funny

Nick Klien (b4 he went weird) - coz I really liked his cheeky personality

Cass Rickman - coz she was fun

Amber Johanssen - fiesty and a great gal

Ken Drummond- Always stuffing his face!!!

Gary Best - he was a real sweety underneath that ego! He was also sooo underestimated!

    ur turn! *smile*

I don't think Jo Masters has really left. I'm hopeful we'll see her in an under-cover set of episodes.

I'd bring back Claire, to investigate Zain...

Yep, but even so, what he's been doing is somewhat different from what he's been discussing with Jack. Jack never would have approved the CS spray idea at all, that is completely illegal,. And hey, wouldn't it be the best form of 'bent copper' to be supposedly pretending to be bent whilst actually being bent at the same time! (A lot of possible confusion in that last sentence, but I think you get the idea).
Plus, I just think it would be quite fun, we haven't really had a bent copper to the same degree as Des since Des, and if anyone can get away with it, it's Zain - his character is so appealing already that the audience would manage sympathy, and be shocked at any illegal activities. I reckon he could manage to pull it off.

Well my comment was on topic, thank you very much. The question of the board is who we want back, I just happened to extent my answer into why I want them back; to investigate a corrupt officer. Although I created the Zain thread, I have done so for other characters and I'm not one of the people who talk about him non-stop. However, it's probably best that we are allowed to talk about what we want; before Zain Nadir this board had about 0 conversation other than my own efforts, now it's a thriving little forum due to the amount of people who enjoy Zain's character. I skip a lot of the posts about him but I think you'll find that this particular thread's discussion of him contains appropriate and intellectual discusiion, not just 'Zain is hot' talk.

It was a gentle request that we stay on topic. Now, the topic for discussion in this thread is: if you could bring back an old character/s…

I think that shows tend to progress with new characters, and much as I have old favourites they're often better off within their own time period. Sometimes bringing people back just doesn't work because the cast has evolved.

Yea ... Definitly... However i do enjoy the old favourites, like Don Beech, and i thought the cast and crew did a great job of bringing Don Beech back. I think the whole 'Is Neil Bent' idea was good.. and did allow new characters to grow.

Nick Klien... loved him when he was in grange hill
Ted Roach (I'd like his old school ways now)
Dave Quinnan... before he got w/ polly, that bugged me.
Ken Melvin, cos I was 14 when he was in it... and we all thought he was hot... lol

I didn't really think it worked that well when they brought back Frank Burnside when Carver and co went up to manchester.

he was great at the start...

I remember meeting him, tony stamp and ken melvin when we were younger at a charity footie match.... He'd only just joined and he got off the coach and was like Hi everyone... but we were like yeah... where's mark powley? lol
