Show Summary

Burl Ives played a brilliant, flamboyant attorney, perhaps a modern day Clarence Darrow. Joseph Campanella and James Farentino played the Darrell brothers, who were his young law partners. Nichols, Darrell, and Darrell worked out of Los Angeles. David Spielberg was excellent in several episodes asMore a prosecuting attorney. Roy Huggins ("Run For Your LIfe", "The Outsider") was executive producer. One episode was titled "The Rockford Riddle", which suggested Huggins' later series "The Rockford Files". Guest stars included Darren McGavin, Craig Stevens, Pete Duel, Roger Davis, and Richard Jordan. Alexander Singer won an Emmy for directing the episode with McGavin called "The Invasion of Kevin Ireland." Guy Stockwell played the Joseph Campanella role in the first pilot movie. "The Lawyers" was on Sunday nights on NBC for three years beginning in 1969. It was on after "Bonanza".
