I always knew I never liked Molly . . hide show

Molly was a bad character in both ways. When she was shy and a geek, she had no enthusiasm whatsover and wasn't funny a bit. After Marsha's makeover that made still made her a geek, she had enthusiasm, just, she funny still. I want a character to be funny and all we got out of Molly is no funny whatsoever, a geeky Molly, another geeky Molly, and a stuck-up Molly. And what was so weird was that Marsha was so upset just after somebody pulled a joke to pair up the most popular girl at school and the least popular girl together. I wouldn't be mad at all. I didn't see why Marsha made a big deal out of it. The episode overall, okay, there were some funny parts I guess.

  • A magical moment takes place in this as episodes when marcua comes home mad about what happened to Molly, while Cindy wrote 'Have A Nice Day' and drew a smily face on the blackboard. Marcia takes the chalk and puts a frown on instead abnd crossed out nice. Also, marcia came home in the tag happy and gleeful after having a great time at the banquet with Colonel Whitfield. []
  • Mike teaches Marcia to waltz in preparation for the graduating banquet to the song of "Moon River" by Johnny Mercer and Henry Mancini. []
  • The black board which is usally on the broom closet in the kitchen somehow was moved to the wall entering the kitchen. []
More Trivia
  • Interestingly, Debi Storm almost became a Brady kid herself. When the casting of the kids was being made she was in the running for the role of Jan. In fact, she was all set to take the role until Sherwood Schwartz decided to cast all blond girls for the roles of the Brady girls and she eventually was replaced by Eve Plumb. []
  • (Molly quickly forgets who helped her)
Marcia: Well, you did have a little help you know!
Molly: It doesn't matter how I got here Marcia, the point is, I've arrived! []
  • Peter: (about Molly's new image) Did you say she was a wipe out?
Greg: Well i just wiped her back in. []

Allusions

  • The episode title is a pun of the play, movie, and musical, "My Fair Lady." The theme of the episode itself, in which Marcia attempts to make a Plain Jane into someone more presentable, is also taken from the same source. []
