Valerie and Mark take a vacation to Palm Springs where a friend gives Val some advice. Meanwhile, Mark becomes annoyed by the reality show crew.

This episode was absolutely great for Valerie. I really enjoyed her sticking up for herself, and realizing that there is more to life than to try to please everyone.
This show is very layered, in the shallow world of show business. In the medium of reality shows, I'm glad to see a show with some guts to poke fun at that side of T.V.

I loved this episode, this episode really changed my opinion about the series, I'll admit that when I began to watch this I didn't really like it, the humor is very dry and I hated the fact that Valerie didn't stand up for herself but this episode changed all of that when Valerie got drunk and called Pauly G, I loved it I could not stop laughing it really is one of the best episodes even though the rest of the cast doesn't appear, it's still a great episode

With this episode of "The Comeback", i feel very annoyed at the situations Valerie Cherish faces. She is again troubled with Paulie G, one of the writers in "Room & Bored" and finally she faces him but with a phone message.This episode is really funny, too in such scenes; in the "Navigator" going to Palm Springs, and the end scene again in the "Navigator" really cracked me up! That is an average episode with some nudity added. And i want to beat Paulie G up very badly because he gives a hard time to Valerie even though she tries to be on good terms with him.
This episode gives me hope that there are better things to come for Valerie and the "Room and Bored" cast. hide show
It finally looks like Valerie has grown some backbone! Wait, I'm jumping ahead...
So in the previous episode we learned that "Room and Bored" was going to be retooled - the network didn't like the direction, yada-yada-yada. So Valerie, husband and reality camera crew head to Palm Springs for some vacation were we meet a couple of Mark's friends.
Fast forward to Donna and Valerie sunbathing by the pool where Donna gives Valerie some much needed advice. Stop trying to please everyone (and the cameras) and express her true feelings. This leads to Valerie leaving Paulie G a voice-mail expressing (finally) that she hates the way he treats her.
So back to the backbone...
Hopefully we'll see less of the uncomfortable talking to the camera (yawn) and more interactions with the cast, especially with Paulie G. Aren't those the funniest scenes on the show anyway?
